بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
"و الذى يؤتى ماله يتزكى...و ما لأحد عنده من نعمة تجزى..الا ابتغاء وجه ربه الاعلى..و لسوف يرضى"
القران العظيم.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious,
Most Merciful.
"And him, who sets forth his wealth in charity,
Not expecting, in return, any givings from anybody,
But only seeking a look of grace on the visage of his Lord, The Most Supreme,
And, in solemn oath, he shall be very well gratified.
The Holy Quraan
Translation, in some semantic and sentimental depths, attempted by Mohammed El Husseiny, PhD in Cultural Translation.
Our Most Gracious Lord,
Your benevolent commands we are most apt to fulfil, To Your Grace we fully commit ourselves, And to Your will we do completely surrender.

The worst type of people is him who refrains from giving a truthful testimony that only him can give to save a friend, just to be safe from even the least expectation of a word of blame, or to keep being the friend of everybody, or just to stay secure from the least amount of unlikely threat.

Poetry
Figures of speech
By: Dr. Mohammed Al Husseiny 01208023969
The similie: The poet uses a simile as he likens (…………) to (…………), using “like” or “as”. Ex: He fought like a lion. Ex: He swam as a fish.
THE METAPHOR: The poet compares (………….) to (……………) , not using “like” or “as”:
Ex: The rose of May smiled to me.
The poet uses a metaphor as he compares the smiling girl to the rose of May.
The personification: The poet gives something the quality of a human being.
Ex: I am busy said the sea. The poet personifies the sea, making it talk like a human being.
The alliteration: The poet uses two successive words starting with the same sound.
Ex: The sky sparrows. The poet uses alliteration in “sky sparrows”.
The contrast: The poet uses two opposite or contrasting ideas as in:
Ex: To be or not to be. Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles.
Repetition: The poet repeats a word, a phrase, or a verse throughout the poem.
Ex: The poet repeats (…………………) (twice) in each stanza.
Question: The poet uses a question or an interrogative form in:
Ex: Will you not understand?
METHOD OF PARAPHRASING A POEM
1) Give a general idea about the whole poem:
In this poem, the poet (talks about t some elements of nature, telling the reader about their importance to human life).
2) PARAPHRASE EACH STANZA , EXPLAINING THE FIGURES OF SPEECH:
In the first stanza, the poet personifies the sea, making it speak like a human being. It is busy making continents. It asks the reader to think of it and the important work it does. The poet uses a repetition in “I am busy”, said the sea.
In the second stanza, the poet personifies the rain, making it speak like a human being. It is busy falling and making grains grow to be food for people and animals. It never falls in vain or for nothing.
In the third stanza, the poet personifies the air, making it speak like a human being. It blows in all directions. It blows up and down and everywhere.
3) Analyze the rhyme scheme:
In this poem, the poet uses a rhyme scheme of “a,a,a,a”.

In the year 1999 I was in a scholarship in Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA. There I presented a research paper highlighting the importance of two issues that now, and after 25 years of teaching experience inside and outside Egypt, I still find to be most crucial elements for effective teaching. These are dividing longer tasks into shorter ones, and giving immediate follow up activities and immediate as well as considerate and constructive feedback.

May Allah save Egypt, with its wise leadership, sailing the ship safely among conspiracies as dark as black night, and with its patient people, who endure hardships in faith, and in confidence in a better days to come.
