INVITATION FOR THE VACANCY OF SR CARTOGRAPHER
Location: Kingdom of Bahrain
Main Job Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor degree in Cartography or any other Professional Engineering relevant field.
Minimum 10 years experience in the field
Main Job Responsibilities:
☑ collecting and interpreting hydrographic and geophysical data to create accurate navigational charts and maps
☑ conducting field surveys, using sonar, lidar, and other instruments, analyzing data with GIS and CAD software, and ensuring charts comply with international standards ☑ collaboration with other specialists, preparing reports, and maintaining digital databases for clients in naval and offshore operations
Perform any other related tasks as may be required from time to time
Total Salary Package BD 1700 - 2000 depending on
qualifications and experience and latest salary package.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

Conduct high-accuracy offshore hydrographic surveys.

Process and analyze field data using advanced software.

Prepare detailed reports, charts, and mapping outputs.

Ensure accuracy, calibration, and maintenance of all survey equipment.

🧭 Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in hydrographic surveying.

Postgraduate/MSc in Hydrographic Surveying required for non-relevant degree holders.

Strong command of survey techniques, data evaluation, and marine mapping systems.

✔ Requirements (choose one):

High school diploma + 2-year college in hydrographic surveys + 5 years of experience

OR: Bachelor's degree in hydrographic surveys + 2 years of experience OR: 2 years of Royal Navy / Royal Engineers service (college degree waived) Must be proficient in offshore surveying and field data processing.
