عقد مجلس الدراسات العليا والبحوث بجامعة الإسكندرية اجتماعه صباح اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق 23 يونيو 2026 برئاسة الدكتور هشام سعيد، نائب رئيس الجامعة للدراسات العليا والبحوث، حيث ناقش عددًا من الملفات الاستراتيجية الهادفة إلى تطوير منظومة الدراسات العليا والبحث العلمي، وتعزيز مكانة الجامعة على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.

واستعرض المجلس المؤشرات الببليومترية للمجلات العلمية الصادرة عن الجامعة والمدرجة بقواعد البيانات الدولية، في إطار المتابعة المستمرة لأدائها، وبحث سبل تعزيز توافقها مع المعايير العالمية، بما يسهم في دعم جودة النشر العلمي والارتقاء بمخرجات البحث العلمي بالجامعة.

كما ناقش المجلس دراسة متكاملة لتحويل جامعة الإسكندرية إلى جامعة ذكية ذات مكانة عالمية، مع التركيز على دور قطاع الدراسات العليا والبحوث في دعم التحول الرقمي، ورفع جودة الأبحاث المنشورة، وزيادة معدلات النشر الدولي بالمجلات العلمية المرموقة، وتحسين مؤشرات التصنيف البحثي للجامعة.

وأكد المجلس أهمية تعزيز منظومة الابتكار وريادة الأعمال من خلال تحويل نتائج الأبحاث العلمية إلى تطبيقات ومنتجات قابلة للتنفيذ، وإنشاء حاضنات ومسرعات أعمال لدعم الباحثين ورواد الأعمال، بما يعزز مساهمة الجامعة في خدمة المجتمع ودعم الاقتصاد القائم على المعرفة. كما استعرض المجلس السياسات المقترحة لتعزيز النزاهة الأكاديمية وأخلاقيات البحث العلمي، ومكافحة الانتحال العلمي، وتفعيل برامج التدريب والتوعية وفق أفضل الممارسات الدولية.

وفي إطار مواكبة التطورات التكنولوجية، ناقش المجلس آليات توظيف تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي في البحث العلمي، من خلال الاستفادة منها في تحليل البيانات، وإنشاء منصات بحثية ذكية، ودعم المختبرات الرقمية والمفتوحة، بما يسهم في رفع كفاءة العملية البحثية وتعزيز الابتكار.

كما استعرض المجلس عددًا من المبادرات المقترحة لدعم التحول نحو جامعة رقمية ذكية، شملت إنشاء منصة ذكية متكاملة للدراسات العليا، وتطوير نظام إلكتروني لإدارة الرسائل العلمية، وإنشاء مستودع بحثي مؤسسي مفتوح للإنتاج العلمي، وتأسيس مركز للذكاء الاصطناعي في البحث العلمي، وتوفير تراخيص لأدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي للباحثين بالتعاون مع بنك المعرفة المصري، إلى جانب إنشاء منصة مؤسسية لقياس الأداء البحثي، وتطوير منصة متخصصة للترجمة العلمية والصياغة الأكاديمية المدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي.

ووافق المجلس على اعتماد نموذج شهادة ماجستير العلاقات الدولية، الذي يُنفذ بالشراكة بين جامعة الإسكندرية، والجامعة الأهلية الفرنسية بالقاهرة، وجامعة سنجور، ومعهد الدراسات السياسية بجرونوبل بجامعة غرونوبل ألب الفرنسية، بما يدعم التعاون الأكاديمي الدولي ويعزز البرامج الدراسية المشتركة.

كما ناقش المجلس تنظيم أعداد السادة المشرفين على رسائل الدكتوراه بكليات ومعاهد الجامعة، بما يضمن تحقيق أعلى مستويات الجودة في الإشراف الأكاديمي.

وفي السياق ذاته، وافق المجلس على تعديلات لجنة قطاع التربية الرياضية بشأن لوائح الدراسات العليا بالكلية، مع استيفاء الملاحظات الخاصة بعدد من الدبلومات المهنية، شملت دبلومات الإصابات الرياضية والتأهيل البدني، والأندية الصحية، والاستشفاء الرياضي، والقوام، إلى جانب دبلومات التأهيل البدني والرياضي لكبار السن، وتغذية الرياضيين، والتدليك.


🔷Alexandria University Graduate Studies and Research Council Discusses Smart University Transformation and Strengthening the Research Ecosystem

The Graduate Studies and Research Council at Alexandria University convened on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, under the chairmanship of Prof. Hisham Saeed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, to discuss a number of strategic initiatives aimed at advancing the University's graduate studies and research system and strengthening its regional and international standing.

The Council reviewed the bibliometric indicators of the University's scientific journals indexed in international databases as part of its ongoing assessment of journal performance and efforts to enhance their compliance with international publishing standards. These efforts aim to improve the quality of scientific publishing and elevate the University's research output.

The Council also discussed a comprehensive proposal for transforming Alexandria University into a globally recognized smart university, highlighting the pivotal role of the Graduate Studies and Research Sector in driving digital transformation, improving the quality of published research, increasing international publications in high-impact journals, and enhancing the University's research ranking indicators.

The Council emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship by translating research outcomes into practical applications and marketable products, establishing business incubators and accelerators to support researchers and entrepreneurs, thereby strengthening the University's contribution to society and the knowledge-based economy. It also reviewed proposed policies to reinforce academic integrity and research ethics, combat plagiarism, and expand training and awareness programs in line with international best practices.

As part of keeping pace with technological advancements, the Council discussed mechanisms for integrating artificial intelligence into scientific research, including AI-powered data analysis, the development of intelligent research platforms, and support for digital and open laboratories, all of which are expected to enhance research efficiency and promote innovation.

The Council further reviewed several initiatives to support the University's transition into a smart digital institution. These include the establishment of an integrated smart platform for graduate studies, the development of an electronic thesis management system, the creation of an institutional open-access research repository, the establishment of a Center for Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research, providing AI tool licenses for researchers in cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, launching an institutional research performance measurement platform, and developing an AI-assisted platform for scientific translation and academic writing.

The Council approved the Master's Degree Certificate template for the International Relations Program, offered jointly by Alexandria University, the French University in Egypt, Senghor University, and the Grenoble Institute of Political Studies at Université Grenoble Alpes, further supporting international academic cooperation and joint educational programs.

The Council also discussed regulating the number of supervisors assigned to doctoral dissertations across the University's faculties and institutes to ensure the highest standards of academic supervision.

Additionally, the Council approved amendments proposed by the Physical Education Sector Committee regarding the Faculty's postgraduate regulations, subject to completing observations related to several professional diploma programs, including Sports Injuries and Physical Rehabilitation, Health Clubs, Sports Recovery, Posture, Physical and Sports Rehabilitation for Older Adults, Sports Nutrition, and Sports Massage.

🔻 Acting President of Alexandria University Receives Newly Appointed Deans and Reaffirms Support for Faculty Development

Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, received the professors who were recently appointed by Presidential Decree as deans of the Faculties of Dentistry, Science, and Tourism & Hotels. During the meeting, he officially handed them their appointment decrees, congratulated them, and wished them every success in their new responsibilities.

The newly appointed deans are:

- Prof. Mohamed Moataz Mahmoud Khamis Abdel Razek, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.
- Prof. Mohamed Essam Fayez Awad Khalil Hagar, Dean of the Faculty of Science.
- Prof. Heba Mahmoud Saad Abdel Nabi, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.

هنأ الدكتور أحمد عادل عبد الحكيم، القائم بأعمال رئيس جامعة الإسكندرية، الفريق الطبي بمستشفى سرطان الأطفال الجامعي ببرج العرب، عقب نجاحه في إجراء جراحة دقيقة ومعقدة لاستئصال ورم أرومي عصبي متقدم لمريض يبلغ من العمر (16) عامًا، مشيدًا بما يحققه أطباء المستشفيات الجامعية من إنجازات متواصلة تعكس كفاءة الكوادر الطبية، وتؤكد قدرة مستشفيات الجامعة على تقديم خدمات علاجية متقدمة وفق أعلى المعايير، بما يسهم في دعم المنظومة الصحية وخدمة المرضى.

ومن جانبه، أوضح الدكتور تامر عبد الله، عميد كلية الطب ورئيس مجلس إدارة المستشفيات الجامعية، أن الحالة تُعد من الحالات النادرة؛ نظرًا لأن الأورام الأرومية العصبية غالبًا ما تصيب الأطفال في الأعمار الصغيرة، بينما يعد ظهورها في سن السادسة عشرة أمرًا غير معتاد، وأضاف أن المريض كان يعاني من مرحلة متقدمة من المرض مع انتشار إلى الكبد والعظام، إلى جانب التفاف الورم حول أوعية دموية رئيسية والتصاقه بعدد من الأعضاء الحيوية، وهو ما جعل التدخل الجراحي بالغ التعقيد، وأشار إلى أن الفريق الطبي بقيادة الدكتور محمد عبد العظيم، رئيس وحدة جراحة الأطفال، اتبع خطة علاجية متكاملة بدأت بالعلاج الكيميائي المكثف، والذي حقق استجابة متميزة أسهمت في تقليص حجم الورم، قبل إجراء الجراحة التي نجح خلالها الفريق في استئصال الكتلة الورمية بالكامل ظاهريًا، رغم ما صاحبها من تليف شديد وتشابكات معقدة مع الأوعية الدموية والأنسجة المحيطة، وذلك تمهيدًا لاستكمال المراحل العلاجية اللاحقة وفق الخطة الموضوعة، وأكد أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس ما تمتلكه مستشفيات جامعة الإسكندرية من كوادر طبية وجراحية على مستوى عالٍ من الكفاءة، إلى جانب الإمكانات العلاجية المتقدمة التي تؤهلها للتعامل مع الحالات النادرة والمعقدة، بما يضمن تقديم رعاية صحية متكاملة وفق أحدث البروتوكولات والمعايير الطبية العالمية.


🔻Alexandria University Children's Cancer Hospital in Borg El Arab Achieves a New Surgical Milestone in Treating High-Risk Tumors

Prof. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, congratulated the medical team at the Alexandria University Children's Cancer Hospital in Borg El Arab following their successful performance of a highly complex surgery to remove an advanced neuroblastoma from a 16-year-old patient. He commended the continuous achievements of the University's physicians, emphasizing that such accomplishments reflect the high level of expertise of the medical staff and the advanced healthcare services provided by Alexandria University Hospitals in accordance with the highest international standards, thereby contributing to strengthening the healthcare system and improving patient care.

For his part, Prof. Tamer Abdallah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, explained that the case was exceptionally rare, as neuroblastoma typically occurs in very young children, while its occurrence in a 16-year-old patient is highly uncommon. He added that the patient had an advanced stage of the disease with metastases to the liver and bones. Diagnostic investigations also revealed that the tumor was encasing major blood vessels and adherent to several vital organs, making the surgical intervention particularly challenging.

Prof. Abdallah noted that the multidisciplinary medical team, led by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Head of the Pediatric Surgery Unit, implemented a comprehensive treatment plan that began with intensive chemotherapy, resulting in an excellent response and significant tumor shrinkage. This was followed by a highly complex surgical procedure during which the team successfully achieved complete macroscopic resection of the tumor despite extensive fibrosis and intricate vascular involvement. The patient will continue to receive the remaining stages of treatment according to the established therapeutic protocol.

He further emphasized that this achievement reflects the exceptional expertise of Alexandria University Hospitals' medical and surgical teams, as well as the advanced clinical capabilities that enable them to manage rare and highly complex cases while providing comprehensive patient care in accordance with the latest international medical protocols and standards.

وشدد المجلس على أهمية تحديث البرامج والمقررات الدراسية بمختلف الكليات، بما يواكب توجهات الدولة نحو بناء اقتصاد قائم على المعرفة والابتكار، ويعزز الربط بين التعليم الجامعي واحتياجات الصناعة وسوق العمل. كما أكد ضرورة تضمين المقررات الدراسية موضوعات التحول التكنولوجي والذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار وريادة الأعمال، وتشجيع الطلاب على التفكير الريادي، مع توجيه الباحثين نحو تنفيذ مشروعات بحثية تطبيقية تسهم في تحويل الأفكار المبتكرة إلى شركات ناشئة تدعم الاقتصاد الوطني وتلبي احتياجات المجتمع.

كما أحاط المجلس علمًا بخطاب منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (اليونيدو) بشأن دعوة جامعة الإسكندرية، ممثلة في قسم هندسة الغزل والنسيج بكلية الهندسة، للانضمام إلى شبكة إقليمية للتعليم العالي، حيث سيشارك أعضاء القسم في برامج تدريبية حول نماذج أعمال الاقتصاد الدائري في صناعة النسيج، تمهيدًا لدمجها في المناهج الدراسية، وذلك في إطار مشروع "الصناعة الخضراء المتقدمة" الممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي، بما يعزز توجه الجامعة نحو دعم التعليم المستدام وربط المناهج بأحدث الممارسات الصناعية العالمية.


Alexandria University Council for Education and Student Affairs Stresses Timely Announcement of Results and Continues Developing Academic Programs in Line with Egypt Vision 2030

The Council for Education and Student Affairs at Alexandria University convened under the chairmanship of Prof. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, to discuss a number of issues related to the educational process and student affairs, as well as preparations for the upcoming academic year. The meeting was held within the framework of the University's strategy to further develop its educational system in line with Egypt Vision 2030 and the evolving needs of the labor market.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim congratulated the newly appointed deans who were appointed by Presidential Decrees, namely: Prof. Mohamed Moataz Mahmoud Khamis Abdel Razek, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Prof. Mohamed Essam Fayez Awad Khalil Hagar, Dean of the Faculty of Science; and Prof. Heba Mahmoud Saad Abdel Nabi, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels. He wished them continued success in leading their faculties and advancing their academic and institutional development.

The Acting President emphasized the importance of completing the grading, review, and result-processing procedures and announcing the second-semester examination results as promptly as possible, ensuring efficient academic services and serving students' best interests.

The Council also approved the regulations governing student transfers, enrollment transfers, and admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year, in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations, while ensuring fairness and equal opportunities for all students.

Furthermore, the Council stressed the importance of continuously updating academic programs and curricula across all faculties to align with the national vision of building a knowledge- and innovation-based economy. Members also highlighted the need to integrate topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, innovation, and entrepreneurship into academic curricula, encourage entrepreneurial thinking among students, and direct researchers toward applied research projects capable of transforming innovative ideas into startups that contribute to the national economy and address societal needs.

The Council was also briefed on a letter from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) inviting Alexandria University, represented by the Department of Textile Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, to join a regional higher education network. Through this initiative, faculty members will participate in training programs on circular economy business models in the textile industry, with the aim of integrating these concepts into academic curricula. The initiative is part of the EU-funded Advanced Green Industry Project, further supporting the University's commitment to sustainable education and strengthening the connection between academic curricula and the latest global industrial practices.

وأكد المهندس أيمن عطية، محافظ الإسكندرية، استمرار دعم المحافظة والتنسيق الكامل مع جامعة الإسكندرية الأهلية، مشيدًا بدورها في تطوير منظومة التعليم العالي من خلال تقديم برامج أكاديمية حديثة تلبي احتياجات سوق العمل. كما ثمن موافقة مجلس الأمناء على بدء الدراسة ببرنامج علوم التمريض اعتبارًا من العام الدراسي المقبل، باعتبارها خطوة مهمة لدعم القطاع الصحي وإعداد كوادر تمريضية مؤهلة، مؤكدًا استمرار المحافظة في تقديم كافة أوجه الدعم لضمان استكمال خطط التطوير والتوسع بالجامعة.

ومن جانبه، أكد الدكتور أحمد عادل عبد الحكيم، القائم بأعمال رئيس جامعة الإسكندرية، أن الجامعة تمضي بخطى ثابتة نحو استكمال منظومتها الأكاديمية والتطبيقية، مشيرًا إلى اعتماد اللوائح الدراسية لبرامج الجامعة بما يعزز التنوع الأكاديمي ويوفر مسارات تعليمية حديثة للطلاب، إلى جانب العمل على الإعداد لإطلاق برامج الدراسات العليا، التي ستتضمن مقررات في التخصصات البينية وريادة الأعمال، بما يتماشى مع احتياجات سوق العمل والتطورات العلمية الحديثة.

وفي إطار دعم التوسع الأكاديمي بالجامعة، وافق مجلس الأمناء على بدء الدراسة ببرنامج علوم التمريض اعتبارًا من العام الدراسي 2026/2027، بطاقة استيعابية تبلغ 100 طالب، وفقًا للإمكانات المعملية والتجهيزات التعليمية المتاحة، بما يسهم في إعداد كوادر تمريضية مؤهلة تلبي احتياجات سوق العمل والقطاع الصحي.

وفيما يتعلق بسير العملية التعليمية، أعلن المجلس أن أعمال امتحانات الفصل الدراسي الحالي بجميع كليات الجامعة ستنتهي في 25 يونيو الجاري، مع التوجيه بسرعة الانتهاء من أعمال التصحيح والمراجعة وإعلان النتائج في أقرب وقت، بما يضمن انتظام الخطة الدراسية وبدء الفصل الدراسي الصيفي اعتبارًا من 12 يوليو المقبل.

كما استعرض المجلس الموازنة التقديرية لجامعة الإسكندرية الأهلية للعام الجامعي 2026/2027، وناقش الرؤية المالية للعام المقبل، بما يضمن دعم خطط التشغيل والتوسع، وتعزيز كفاءة الإنفاق، وتوفير الموارد اللازمة لاستمرار تطوير العملية التعليمية والبنية التحتية والخدمات المقدمة للطلاب.

وشهد الاجتماع عرضًا لملخص أعمال اللجنة التنفيذية المنبثقة عن مجلس الأمناء، فيما ناقش المجلس تقارير اللجنة في مختلف الجوانب الأكاديمية والإدارية والمالية، والتي تضمنت عددًا من الموضوعات والإنجازات المرتبطة بسير العمل داخل الجامعة.

وشملت هذه التقارير اعتماد أغلب اللوائح الدراسية لكليات الجامعة، إلى جانب التجهيزات الجارية لعدد كبير من المعامل الهندسية والطبية وفق أحدث المواصفات الفنية والتقنية، بما يضمن دعم العملية التعليمية والتدريبية للطلاب على أعلى مستوى.

كما تناولت التقارير تنفيذ برامج ودورات تدريبية متنوعة للطلاب، بما يعزز من مهاراتهم التطبيقية ويربط الجانب الأكاديمي بمتطلبات سوق العمل، فضلًا عن متابعة خطط تطوير البنية التحتية بالمباني الجديدة (ج، د)، ورفع كفاءة المرافق والخدمات الجامعية.

وفي السياق ذاته، استعرض المجلس جهود تطوير خدمات الإنترنت ومنظومة الأمن والسلامة داخل الحرم الجامعي بما يتماشى مع أحدث المعايير الدولية، بالإضافة إلى متابعة أنشطة اتحاد الطلاب وبرامج التدريب العملي الموجهة للطلاب في مختلف التخصصات.


🔷 Alexandria National University Board of Trustees Approves the Launch of the Nursing Sciences Program and Reviews Preparations for the First Graduating Class and Development Plans for the Upcoming Academic Year

The Board of Trustees of Alexandria National University convened its meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohamed Nasr El-Din Demir, Chairman of the Board, in the presence of Eng. Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria; Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University; and members of the Board. The meeting was held at the University's campus in New Smouha to review the University's progress, assess achievements made during the past period, and discuss development and expansion plans for the upcoming academic year, in line with the University's vision of providing a modern educational experience that meets contemporary academic standards.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Nasr El-Din Demir welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation to the Board members on the occasion of completing one year since the Board's establishment. He praised the achievements realized during this period through the close cooperation and coordination among all stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a collaborative spirit to achieve the University's strategic objectives. He also noted that the meeting forms part of the Board's regular follow-up process to monitor progress, evaluate performance, and set priorities for the next phase.

Eng. Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria, reaffirmed the Governorate's continued support and close coordination with Alexandria National University, praising its role in advancing the higher education system through the introduction of modern academic programs that respond to the evolving needs of the labor market, he also commended the Board of Trustees' approval to launch the Nursing Sciences Program starting from the upcoming academic year, describing it as an important step toward strengthening the healthcare sector by preparing highly qualified nursing professionals. The Governor further emphasized the Governorate's commitment to providing all necessary support to ensure the successful implementation of the University's development and expansion plans.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim affirmed that the University is steadily advancing toward completing its academic and practical educational system. He pointed out that the academic regulations governing the University's programs have been approved, enhancing academic diversity and providing students with modern educational pathways. He also announced ongoing preparations for launching postgraduate programs that will include interdisciplinary courses and entrepreneurship studies, in line with labor market demands and recent scientific developments.

As part of the University's academic expansion strategy, the Board of Trustees approved the launch of the Nursing Sciences Program beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year, with an initial capacity of 100 students, based on the available laboratory facilities and educational infrastructure. The program aims to prepare highly qualified nursing professionals capable of meeting the needs of the healthcare sector and the labor market.

Regarding academic affairs, the Board announced that final examinations for all faculties will conclude on 25 June 2026, while emphasizing the importance of completing grading and result verification promptly to ensure the timely announcement of results and the commencement of the Summer Semester on 12 July 2026.

The Board also reviewed the University's estimated budget for the 2026/2027 academic year and discussed its financial outlook, ensuring adequate support for operational and expansion plans, efficient resource management, and continued investment in educational development, infrastructure, and student services.

During the meeting, members reviewed a summary of the work carried out by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees, along with reports covering academic, administrative, and financial affairs, highlighting a number of achievements and ongoing initiatives across the University.

The reports included the approval of most academic regulations for the University's faculties, in addition to the ongoing establishment and تجهيزment of numerous engineering and medical laboratories according to the latest technical and technological standards, ensuring a high-quality educational and practical training environment for students.

The reports also highlighted the implementation of various student training programs and professional development courses designed to strengthen practical skills and bridge academic learning with labor market requirements. Furthermore, the Board reviewed progress on the development of the University's new buildings (C and D), as well as ongoing efforts to upgrade campus facilities and services.

In the same context, the Board reviewed initiatives aimed at enhancing internet services and strengthening campus safety and security systems in accordance with international standards. The meeting also addressed the activities of the Student Union and the practical training programs offered to students across various academic disciplines.
