BIS four-year undergraduate program that offers hands on latest computer skills coupled with business administration background. BIS is one of the top 10 fields in terms of job demand and high salaries for graduates, where career opportunities far exceed BIS graduates. BIS is also a SAP University Alliance and a Microsoft partner. BIS department offers International Programs and student exchange a

t well-known universities worldwide. It also provides students with the exposure to the work environment through local/International internship in the industry. BIS students:
 are eligible to apply for ITIDA-ITAC program, University Student Graduation Projects fund
 are constantly offered opportunities to attend/participate in academic conferences such as
ICCTA-IEEE, Techne Summit, ABRM and ICT in our Lives
 participate in annual project competitions such as those arranged by Techne Summit and
Computer Scientific Society
 participate in field trips, seminars, and workshops

The BIS department has a very high recruitment rate. Some graduates are entrepreneurs who started their own businesses, while others are recruited at reputable local and International organizations, in all industries such as Business Solutions, Banking, Education, Pharmaceutical, Real Estate, and Web & Mobile Solutions. They are leaders as Web/System analysts, Web/System designers, Web/System developers, Database Analysts, Social Media Specialists,
ERP Specialists, and Mobile Application Developers.

BIS Students Win Best Graduation Project Award

We are proud to celebrate our BIS students whose graduation project, Dawy, was selected as the Best Graduation Project at the Graduation Project Competition held by the Computer Scientific Society (CSS), on 22 July 2026, earning certificates of excellence and a monetary award in recognition of their outstanding achievement.

The competition brought together graduation projects from Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, and Management Information Systems, representing AASTMT, Alexandria University, and Pharos University.

The supervisory team included Prof. Rasha Abd El Aziz, Head of the BIS Department; Dr. Omneya Kandil, Graduation Project Coordinator; and Mr. Mohamed Abdelhady, Graduation Project Practical Assistant, with special recognition of Mr. Abdelhady for his crucial contribution throughout the project development process. We were also pleased to have Dr. Mai Morsy, BIS Graduation Project Coordinator, join us in celebrating the students’ achievement.

At BIS AASTMT, our students combine business, technology, creativity, and innovation to build practical solutions and stand out in multidisciplinary settings.

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is proud to launch RAISE Egypt (Responsible AI and Inclusion for Scholarly Engagement and Early Career Research), an international collaboration funded through The British Academy International Writing Workshops Programme, in partnership with Royal Holloway, University of London, Oxford Brookes University, Northumbria University, and the University of East Anglia.

Led in Egypt by Prof. Rasha Abd EL Aziz, Egypt-based Project Lead, RAISE Egypt will support 20 early career researchers based in Egypt in developing internationally publishable research on Responsible AI and Digital Inclusion through a structured programme of workshops, mentoring, research development, and publication support.
