Dear Parent,
This is to inform you that the schools are suspended for the safety of our youngsters and the safety of the whole country.
Therefore please please be aware that if our youngsters are sent to cafes, cinemas, clubs,....etc this will certainly defeat the purpose and become a source of spreading the virus not only on the individual level but on the national too.

Our visit to the Elderly Care Centers
09/03/2020
Under the umbrella of “Family Bonding” The school is hosting a special event on Sunday, 22nd March 2020, when students will invite their grandparents to visit their classrooms.
Grandparents are a valuable resource of wisdom
Grandparents provide children with love, stability, safety, fun and wisdom that help improve a child’s developmental and learning skills. At the same time, caring for grandchildren can help elderly people boost their morale and keep them mentally sharp.
Strengthen parent-child communication through the magical grandparents-child relationship
Therefore, each child is inviting all his/her grandparents on both sides. If a student does not have a grandparent to invite, he/she is welcome to invite a special senior member of the family, an older aunt/uncle, or a grand family friend.
Grandparents will have the opportunity to see their grandchildren in their classes, spend some time with them and look at their work.
Grandparents are invited to share memories of their own school days. They can bring photographs of their own parents as little kids and talk about how families and schooling have evolved over time. After that, grandparents will join their grandchildren in their break where the students will serve them light refreshments and food.
We hope to make it a valuable experience to celebrate grandparents and show them how important and loved they are.
Looking forward to a great time with the grandparents.

Extended Family Members are a Hidden Treasure

In connection with our theme “Family Bonding”, the school is organizing a two-hour visit to a number of Elderly Care Centres, on Sunday 8th and Monday 9th March 2020 during the school day.
The visits will include the following places : دور المسنين الآتية
دار المواساة/ دار أحمس/ دار السعادة لرعاية المسنين
We believe that FAMILY has a significant role in care work ; providing care for the elderly is an example. Within this perspective, visiting a Nursing Home and providing care work to old people teaches children empathy, patience, kindness and therefore, prepares them for their roles and responsibilities towards their own family.
It also teaches them that Family should participate in community life, one of which is making elderly people feel loved, cared about and connected to the world around them. We try to teach our children that there is no greater gift than the “gift of time” helping an elderly person feel like a valuable member of society.
Children together with their teachers are working on ideas of how to spend time with the people at the residences, such as reading a book, playing puzzles or other games like dominoes and cards, etc.. Moreover, the children are working on give-away gifts for all residents.
