Today, faculty members and students from the Sustainable Architecture Program (SARCH) at E-JUST participated in the World Cities Day event at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. This participation was in response to an invitation extended to the university, which is committed to encouraging students to engage in discussions and seminars on climate change and urban sustainability. These opportunities are significant for broadening students' perspectives and connecting their academic learning with real-world challenges.

On Tuesday, October 15th, the fourth-year students in the Sustainable Architecture Program (SARCH) visited 57357 Hospital to explore design elements related to healthcare buildings. This visit provided them with real-world experiences that helped them understand how to effectively design healthcare facilities that meet treatment needs.
The insights gained from this visit will be applied in the Architectural Design Studio 6 module for their first-semester project, the 'Sustainable Children's Hospital project in New Borg El Arab'.
E-JUST would like to express gratitude to Eng. Shimaa, Eng. Dalia, Mr Mohamed Eid, and the hospital administration for their warm reception and the valuable information the students gained through discussions with the hospital's engineering management.

The Sustainable Architecture program hosted representatives from the UN-Habitat Egypt Office on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024. They organized a symposium titled "Sustainable Urban Development: Egypt's Experience" to discuss sustainable development in Egypt. This event served as a precursor to the World Urban Forum (WUF12), scheduled to take place in Cairo from November 4th to 8th, 2024.

The symposium started with an online presentation by Prof. Hashimoto, E-JUST's vice president for regional relations, and a talk by E-JUST President Prof. Dr. Amr Adly. The day featured multiple presentations by UN-Habitat country director Dr. Ahmed Rezk and Dr. Ahmed Dorghamy, a program officer. Additionally, several E-JUST academics shared their insights and experiences addressing climate change and urbanization challenges.

E-JUST would like to thank the UN-Habitat representatives and all the event's attendees for their presence and valuable discussions.
