The third student scientific paper from the joint MB ChB/MBBCH Programme, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University-Manchester University, Alexandria, Egypt, has been officially published in March 2026 in the prestigious international journal:
Infectious Agents and Cancer (Q2- oncology).
The paper, authored by our talented student Noor Al-Houda F.Ali
, is based on her APEP research project in the third year, entitled

Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the University of Manchester, UK, from Sunday to Tuesday, 23–25 November 2025.

The visit aimed primarily at enhancing the quality of medical education and supporting the professional development of fifth-year staff members through a series of specialized training workshops on the Clinical Competency Assessment (CCA) and its various stations.

The programme included several key training sessions, such as:
• How to Run the CCA – An overview of the principles and logistics of conducting the clinical assessment.
• Running Simulation – Practical simulation exercises mirroring CCA scenarios.
• Ethics and Law – Discussion of ethical and legal considerations relevant to clinical practice.
• Communication Skills – Training on effective doctor–patient communication within clinical encounters.
شرفت كلية الطب بجامعة الإسكندرية باستضافة وفد من جامعة مانشستر بالمملكة المتحدة خلال الفترة من الأحد إلى الثلاثاء، ٢٣–٢٥ نوفمبر ٢٠٢٥.
وقد جاءت الزيارة بهدف دعم جودة العملية التعليمية وذلك من خلال عقد ورش تدريبية للسادة اعضاء هيئة التدريس لدعم اعمال الفرقة الخامسة استعدادا لتخريج اول دفعة بالبرنامج.

وشملت الفعاليات التدريبية مجموعة من الجلسات الرئيسية، من بينها:
شرح شامل لأسس تنظيم وإدارة الامتحانات الإكلينيكية بمعايير دولية،
تدريب عملي على محاكاة سيناريوهات الامتحان، مناقشة الجوانب الأخلاقية والقانونية المرتبطة بالممارسات الإكلينيكية، وكذلك التدريب على مهارات التواصل الفعّال في السياق الطبي .

An exciting collaborative teaching session conducted by both prescribing leads form UOM and AFM immerses Y5 students in a dynamic, simulated hospital setting where they sharpen their prescribing, communication, team work, and decision making skills to be graduated as confident, competent clinicians.
اكتشف الابتكار في التعليم الطبي من خلال برنامج مانشستر ، كلية الطب، جامعة الاسكندرية .
جلسة تعليمية تعاونية شيقة، يُقدمها منسقي علم الادوية من جامعة مانشستر ببريطانيا وكلية الطب جامعة الإسكندرية لطلاب الفرقة الخامسة بالبرنامج، حيث وضعت الطلاب في بيئة ديناميكية تحاكي بيئة العمل داخل المستشفيات وذلك لصقل مهاراتهم في كيفية وصف الأدوية للمرضي والتواصل والعمل الجماعي و كذلك اتخاذ القرارات لدعم كونهم اطباء الغد ذو ثقة بالنفس وكفاءة عالية.

The Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, was honored to host a delegation from the University of Manchester, UK, during the period from Friday to Tuesday, 26–30 September 2025.
The purpose of the visit was to review and follow up on the educational process for our fifth-year students, with particular emphasis on ensuring the proper implementation of the program logistics.
شرفت كلية الطب بجامعة الإسكندرية باستضافة وفد من جامعة مانشستر بالمملكة المتحدة في الفترة من الجمعة إلى الثلاثاء، ٢٦–٣٠ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٥.
وقد هدفت الزيارة إلى تفقد ومتابعة سير العملية التعليمية لطلابنا في السنة الخامسة، مع التركيز على ضمان التنفيذ السليم للقواعد والضوابط التنفيذية المنظمة والخاصة بالبرنامج .

The visit focused on reviewing the program’s quality standards and the students’ electronic portal, as well as exploring ways to support student activities and enhance communication between students of both universities to foster a stronger sense of belonging.
