Did you know that Egypt has more that 10 different dialects of Arabic?🙈

Even inside Egyptian Arabic dialect there are different groups of language!
Local people call them “slangs”.

Different cities and districts have their own slangs. So you easily can understand where person is from just by hearing his/her speech.

The hard thing for foreigners is that slang words that have the same meaning can be really different in pronunciation!

Famous example is popular Arabic beans breakfast snack. People in Alexandria and Cairo have different ways of naming it: “Falafel” and “Taameya”. Two completely different words! 😁

Did you know that there are different kinds of Arabic language, not only one?

1. Classic Arabic, the language of Quran 🕌
Old and complex language that is not used now in speaking, but is very important if you want to read Quran in its original form and pray 🤲

2. Modern Standard Arabic 📺
General unified form of Arabic language that is used as a formal language nowadays. Public speech, newspapers and official TV channels use it. You need it if you want to understand public info channels or ought to speak formally.

3. Dialects 🗣
Local languages that people actually speak in different countries, cities and even areas. It’s needed if you want to talk to locals and manage your daily life.
One of the most popular one is Egyptian dialect 🇪🇬🙂

Arabic has different forms! But once you know your exact goal for learning Arabic - you can easily choose it’s particular form to learn👍
