Job Description:
Center of Smart Materials, Nanotechnology, and Photonics (CSMNP) is looking for an outstanding Research Assistant to join the Future Intelligent Networking project. The objective of this project is to explore technology-driven interventions in Quantum Network Systems along with correlated Quantum Cryptography pursuing an analytical study and experimental approach.
The candidate for this position should preferably have a degree in Computer Science/Engineering / Information Technology / or any related field, have excellent analytical skills, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English. The candidate should be highly motivated to engage in research, be capable of working independently, and be open to exploratory work which may demand changing directions and picking up new skills on the go as required. It is desirable for the candidate to possess excellent programming skills, network system analysis, cryptography basics, and operations analysis and development experience with any of the mainstream Internet and its architectures, protocols, and applications. In addition, the candidate should exhibit an appetite for building mathematical models and numerical simulations for Quantum Network technologies, architectures, and the related Protocols and Applications. The ability to work with various analysis tools and software libraries and experiment with different approaches. It is also an expectation that the candidate will contribute towards setting up pilot trials, subsequent scale-up, and dissemination of this work.
