جمعية الصعيد تختتم نهائيات مسابقة الطهي لطلاب المدارس الفندقية
نظم مركز التدريب الفندقي بـ أبوقرقاص التابع لجمعية الصعيد للتربية والتنمية المرحلة النهائية من مسابقة الطهي لطلاب المدارس الفندقية لعام 2026، وذلك في إطار استكمال أنشطة مشروع "الترويج للبدائل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المستدامة في مجال السياحة بالصعيد، خاصة للمرأة والشباب"، الذي يهدف إلى رفع كفاءة الشباب وتأهيلهم لسوق العمل، بما يسهم في دعم التنمية الاقتصادية وتعزيز فرص التوظيف في القطاع السياحي، ويُنفذ المشروع بمحافظات المنيا وقنا والأقصر.
وقد حصلت مدرسة إسنا الثانوية الفندقية بالأقصر على المركز الأول لهذا العام، وعبرت الطالبات عن فرحتهن وحماسهن باستلام الكأس، فيما حصدت المدرسة الثانوية الفندقية المشتركة بالمنيا على المركز الثاني وجاءت مدرسة دشنا الثانوية الفندقية بقنا في الترتيب الثالث.
حضر فعاليات المرحلة النهائية من المسابقة، الدكتورة ليلى إسكندر رئيسة مجلس إدارة جمعية الصعيد، والمهندس هاني صابونجي المدير العام للجمعية ووفد مُمثل عن وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني، والسيد جاكمو كرنسزي ممثل هيئة FPS الإسبانية في مصر، والسيدة ماريا تارنكون مُمثلة عن الوكالة الإسبانية للتعاون الدولي، وسارة لوقا وأمينة عثمان ممثلين عن شركة Reliance Logistics وعدد من فريق جمعية الصعيد.
وفي كلمتها الافتتاحية أكدت الدكتورة ليلى إسكندر، سعادتها بهذه المرحلة من المسابقة، ووجهت الشكر إلى جميع القيادات التعليمية والمهنية وفريق العمل.
وأوضحت أن الجمعية تواصل جهودها لتطوير التعليم الفندقي، ورفع مستوى فندق أبو قرقاص التعليمي بدعم شركاء الجمعية ليصبح منارة لتأهيل وتخريج شباب يمتلكون المهارات اللازمة للعمل في قطاع السياحة والفندقة، مؤكدة استمرار توفير فرص التدريب وتنمية مهارات شباب الصعيد. ووجهت رسالة للطلاب المشاركين، قائلة "من وجهة نظري، أنتم جميعًا أوائل، وأتمنى أن تكون هذه المسابقة نقطة انطلاق لكم نحو النجاح في مجال الفندقة".
من جانبه، أعرب السيد جاكمو كرنسزي، ممثل هيئة FPS الإسبانية، عن سعادته ببدء تشغيل المطبخ التعليمي الجديد، مشيرًا إلى أن الإعداد لهذا الحدث استغرق ثلاث سنوات، وموجهًا الشكر إلى وزارة التربية والتعليم وجميع الشركاء في مصر، وأكد أن الهيئة دعمت جمعية الصعيد لإنشاء مركز متميز، معربًا عن ثقته في أن المطبخ الجديد سيكون من أفضل المطابخ التي تخدم أنشطة الجمعية، ومشيدًا بقوة المنافسة بين الطلاب المشاركين.
وأكدت الأستاذة أماني قرني، رئيسة الإدارة المركزية للتعليم الفني بوزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني، أن الوزارة تعمل على إعداد برامج مستحدثة في مختلف تخصصات التعليم الفني، مع التركيز على التعليم الفندقي وقطاع السياحة، بهدف تطوير مهارات الشباب وتأهيلهم لسوق العمل، مشيرة إلى أهمية إتاحة فرص التدريب العملي والمسابقات التي تعزز التعاون بين مختلف الجهات، وتدعم مستقبل الطلاب والشباب.
وجاءت المرحلة النهائية للمسابقة بعد الانتهاء من مرحلتين سابقتين؛ حيث تضمنت المرحلة الأولى اختيار الفرق الممثلة للمدارس المستهدفة، بواقع ثلاثة طلاب من كل مدرسة من المشاركين في المدارس الصيفية، فيما شهدت المرحلة الثانية تصفيات على مستوى كل محافظة لاختيار المدرسة التي تمثلها في النهائيات، وذلك من خلال لجنة تحكيم ضمت طاهيًا من HTC Abokorkas - مركز التدريب المتكامل بأبو قرقاص إلى جانب ممثل عن توجيه التعليم الفندقي ومدير إدارة المشاركة المجتمعية بمديرية التربية والتعليم، والتي أُجريت خلال شهر فبراير 2026.
وتولت تقييم المتسابقين لجنة تحكيم ضمت اثنين من الطهاة الاستشاريين، إلى جانب مدير عام التعليم الفندقي بـ وزارة التربية والتعليم المصرية ، حيث جرى تقييم الفرق وفق معايير مهنية شملت جودة إعداد الأطباق، والابتكار، ومهارات التقديم، والالتزام بالمعايير الفندقية.
جدير بالذكر أن مشروع "الترويج للبدائل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المستدامة في مجال السياحة بالصعيد، خاصة للمرأة والشباب"، تنفذه جمعية الصعيد للتربية والتنمية من خلال مركز التدريب المتكامل، والممول من الوكالة الإسبانية للتعاون الدولي AECID بالشراكة مع هيئة FPS الإسبانية. وهو المشروع الذي يستهدف دعم وتمكين الشباب والنساء اقتصاديًا، وفتح آفاق جديدة لمشروعات مرتبطة بالسياحة المستدامة.
AUEED Concludes Final Round of Culinary Competition for Hotel Management School Students
The Hotel Training Center (HTC) in Abu Qurqas, affiliated with the Association of Upper Egypt for Education and Development (AUEED), organized the final round of the 2026 Culinary Competition for Hotel Management School students, as part of the activities of the project “Promoting Sustainable Economic and Social Alternatives in Tourism in Upper Egypt, with a Special Focus on Women and Youth.” The project aims to enhance young people’s skills and prepare them for the labor market, contributing to economic development and expanding employment opportunities in the tourism sector. It is being implemented in the governorates of Minya, Qena, and Luxor.
Isna Hotel Management Secondary School in Luxor won first place this year. The students expressed their joy and excitement as they received the competition trophy. Minya Hotel Management Secondary School came in second place, while Dishna Hotel Management Secondary School in Qena ranked third.
The final round was attended by Dr. Laila Iskandar, Chairperson of AUEED’s Board of Directors; Eng. Hany Sabounji, AUEED’s General Manager; a delegation representing the Ministry of Education and Technical Education; Mr. Jakmo Krenszi, representative of the Spanish FPS; Ms. Maria Tarncon, representing the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID); Sarah Louka and Amina Othman, representing Reliance Logistics; as well as a number of AUEED team members.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Laila Iskandar expressed her happiness at reaching this stage of the competition and extended her appreciation to all educational and professional leaders, as well as the organizing team.
She highlighted AUEED’s continued efforts to develop hotel management education and upgrade the Abu Qurqas Educational Hotel, with the support of the Association’s partners, with the aim of transforming it into a leading institution for training and graduating young people equipped with the skills required to work in the tourism and hospitality sector. She also reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to providing training opportunities and developing the skills of young people in Upper Egypt. Addressing the participating students, she said, “From my point of view, you are all winners. I hope this competition will be a launching pad for your success in the hospitality industry.”
For his part, Mr. Jakmo Krenszi, representative of the Spanish FPS, expressed his delight at the launch of the new training kitchen, noting that preparations for the event had taken three years. He thanked the Ministry of Education and all partners in Egypt, and affirmed that FPS had supported AUEED in establishing an outstanding center. He expressed his confidence that the new kitchen would become one of the best facilities serving the Association’s activities, while praising the strong level of competition among the participating students.
Ms. Amani Qarni, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, affirmed that the Ministry is working to develop new programs across various technical education specializations, with a particular focus on hotel management education and the tourism sector.
The aim is to enhance young people’s skills and prepare them for the labor market. She also highlighted the importance of providing practical training opportunities and organizing competitions that foster cooperation among different stakeholders and support the future of students and young people.
The final round of the competition followed the completion of two previous stages. The first stage involved selecting the teams representing the participating schools, with three students selected from each school among those taking part in the summer schools. The second stage consisted of governorate-level qualifiers to select the school that would represent each governorate in the final round. The selection process was conducted by a judging panel comprising a chef from the Hotel Training Center (HTC), a representative of the Hotel Management Education Directorate, and the Director of Community Participation at the Directorate of Education. The qualifiers were held in February 2026.
The contestants were evaluated by a judging panel comprising two consulting chefs, in addition to the Director General of Hotel Management Education at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. The teams were assessed according to professional criteria, including the quality of dish preparation, creativity, presentation skills, and adherence to hospitality industry standards.
It is worth noting that the project “Promoting Sustainable Economic and Social Alternatives in Tourism in Upper Egypt, with a Special Focus on Women and Youth” is implemented by AUEED through the Integrated Training Center and funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), in partnership with the Spanish FPS. The project aims to support and economically empower young people and women while opening new opportunities for initiatives and businesses linked to sustainable tourism.
