Within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Sustainable Development Center (SDC) at Zewail City for Science, Technology, and Innovation; the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW); and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), The activities of the second training course for engineers from HCWW and its subsidiaries in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, and Beheira were concluded.

The course was held under the title "Stormwater Management Systems for Urban Areas" and lasted for 8 days on two levels.

This training course comes as part of the efforts of HCWW and its subsidiaries to qualify engineers to deal with stormwater in urban areas, especially in light of climatic changes. The course activities were led by professors and experts from Zewail City.

في إطار بروتوكول التعاون بين مركز التنمية المستدامة بمدينة زويل للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار والشركة القابضة لمياه الشرب والصرف الصحى والوكالة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي، اختتمت فعاليات الدورة التدريبية الثانية لمهندسي الشركة القابضة لمياة الشرب والصرف الصحي والشركات التابعة بمحافظات القاهرة والجيزة والإسكندرية والبحيرة.
عقدت الدورة تحت عنوان "إدارة مياه الأمطار في المناطق الحضرية" التي استمرت لمدة 8 أيام مقسمة على مستويين. وتأتي هذه الدورة التدريبية في ضوء استعداد الشركة القابضة وشركاتها التابعة لتأهيل المهندسين للتعامل مع تصرفات مياه الأمطار بالمناطق العمرانية وخصوصا في ظل التغيرات المناخية المستجدة، وشملت فعاليات الدورة محاضرات لأساتذة وخبراء مدينة زويل فى المجال وورش عمل تفاعليه لتقديم حلول مبتكرة لمثل هذه المشكلات.

حصد فريق وادي العلوم والتكنولوجيا بمدينة زويل على المركز الأول في مسابقة IEEE International Smart Mobility Challenge من بين 12 فريق دولي ينافسون على هذه الجائزة. ومن الجدير بالذكر أن المسابقة تركز الجائزة على كيفية استخدام التقنيات للدعم و التسهيل على المستخدم لتحقيق إمكانية التنقل للأشخاص ذوي الهمم وكبار السن. من بين 300 مشروع شارك ، تأهل 12 فريقًا فقط من كندا والهند والمملكة المتحدة والإمارات العربية المتحدة ودول أخرى للنهائيات في جامعة الملك عبدالله. كنا فخورون بتمثيل مصر دوليًا باعتبارها المنتخب المصري الوحيد.و ذهبت جائزة المركز الآول لفريق طلاب مدينة زويل - وادي العلوم و التكنولوجيا و هم أية حسام و هاجر ابونار وتحت الإشراف الأكاديمي المهندسة بسمة ابراهيم، و كذلك إشراف ZC Competition Hub.
تم تنظيم التحدي من قبل:
1- وزارة الحج والعمرة.
2- جامعة الملك عبدالله للعلوم والتقنية.
3- المؤتمر الدولي لتحدي التنقل الذكي.
4- الابتكار العالمي وريادة الأعمال.
5- حل التنقل الرقمي (DMS).
We are pleased to announce that, The Valley of Science &Technology have won first place in the IEEE International Smart Mobility Challenge held at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.
The IEEE International Smart Mobility Challenge focuses on how we can use user-centric technologies to achieve accessible mobility for people with disabilities and seniors. Out of 300 projects that participated, only 12 teams from Canada, India, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and other countries were qualified for the finals at KAUST. We are proud that we were represented Egypt internationally as the only Egyptian team. The VST academic advisor Eng. Basam Ibrahim, and under the supervision of ZC Competition Hub
The challenge was organized by :
1- the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah,
2- King Abdullah University of Science and Technology,
3- International Conference on Smart Mobility Challenge,
4- Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship,
5-Digital Mobility Solution (DMS).
