The acaSTEMy website has been updated with current research and dissemination evidence from across the project.

The Research and Dissemination section now brings together project-related publications and conference presentations from the consortium's WP1 tracking workbook, updated on 6 August 2026.

Recent highlights include the 2 July 2026 Small Steps, Big Horizons hybrid dissemination conference at ELTE, with about 200 registered participants, and the 22 June 2026 ICASE 2026 pre-conference workshop at University College Cork on research-based STEM teacher education.

How can green chemistry turn sustainability into practical STEM learning?

The 4th acaSTEMy hybrid seminar, Green Chemistry for the Future of Society and Industry, explored how chemistry education can respond to climate change, resource use and environmental pollution.

For STEM teachers, green chemistry offers a concrete classroom frame: reduce hazardous substances, minimize waste, use resources efficiently and connect scientific knowledge with responsible innovation.

How can digital media strengthen chemistry teaching in meaningful ways? The acaSTEMy 6th hybrid seminar explores how teachers can use digital tools to support chemical language, representations, experiments and student understanding. The session also discusses key ideas from multimedia learning, cognitive load theory, SAMR and ICAP, with practical examples including augmented reality in chemistry lessons.

Our second hybrid seminar seminar from the series of "STEM step-up" titled “Greenhouse gas emissions from terrestrial ecosystems on the rise” by Professor Ülo Mander (University of Tartu) is approaching on 6th of March 2025.

The hybrid seminar will take place on the 6th of March 2025 from 13:00 to 16:00 CET at the University of Tartu, Tartu, Estonia. The first hour of the seminar will be in English and recorded. The Zoom link for online participants is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83226459974. The remaining two hours of the seminar will be held in Estonian in an in-person format.
