I’m not sure if it’s too late for you to get your kids’ indoor shoes and other items, but there are a lot of items left in the Secondary and Primary cloakrooms! If you miss them, please consider calling on Monday.

17/06/2021

NB! Parents, please come have a look and help us return these VERY many items to their homes before unclaimed items are donated to charity on June 22nd. You can come Friday, Monday or Tuesday. Thank you!

Valitsus taastab siseruumides 2+2 nõude ja maskikohustuse

https://www.postimees.ee/7106545/valitsus-taastab-siseruumides-2-2-noude-ja-maskikohustuse

English translation:
The government has decided to restore the 2 + 2 indoor requirement and the obligation to wear a mask, with exceptions for canteens and schools.

Minister of Education and Research Mailis Reps told Vikerraadio that the government has decided to restore the 2 + 2 indoor requirement. This means that you can move in pairs, keeping a distance of two meters with the next pair. This includes larger stores, shopping malls, government offices, and checkouts must stay behind marked lines.
Small country shops and other environments where it is not possible to follow the rule reasonably do not have to go along with it. Also, the 2 + 2 requirement does not apply to cinemas and theaters or schools, but to entertainment establishments, which must close their doors at midnight.
An exception was also introduced for restaurants. The government negotiated with the representatives of the restaurants for several days, and upon meeting them, it is allowed that one board can have up to eight people, who must be separated from the next board by at least two meters.
The mask must be worn in public transport, concert halls, cinemas and theaters.
"If you are not under 12 years of age or have no other medical indication, you must cover your mouth and face. It's a mask or a mask-like product, we didn't specify that, "said Reps.
However, he acknowledged that severe fines would not be imposed for non-compliance. However, the medical institution or concert organizer has the right to require the visitor to wear a mask.
According to Reps, the government wants to keep society open for as long as possible.

postimees.ee Valitsus otsustas taastada siseruumides 2+2 nõude ja maskikandmise kohustuse, erandid tehakse söögikohtadele ja koolidele.

The days are getting shorter and darker. In Estonia it is compulsory for every child and adult to wear helkur (reflector). Therefore we would like to create a "Reflector tree" in our schoolyard so that everyone who is missing one could take one and make themselves visible in the dark. We will put reflectors on the "tree" on Monday 2 November, when similar trees are opened in different places around Põhja-Tallinn.

We would like to invite everyone who has some extra reflectors at home or whose companies have them for sharing to donate some reflectors to school and add them to the tree so that our community could be well visible and safe during the dark mornings and evenings.

Until the tree is opened, everyone can bring their reflectors and leave them in the collecting box available by the front desk in school. This will give us a great option to keep our community safer during those dark and long November nights.

Many thanks to parents throughout the school community for quickly responding with an outpouring of donations that made the flower bouquets possible this year!

Tallinn European School – international education and innovative learning

For class SUPPLY LISTS for your children, go to https://tes.edu.ee, open the menu button (with the 3 lines, located at the top in the middle), select Academics and then either Nursery, Primary or Secondary. In each of these you’ll find something like “Supply Lists (School Year 2020-2021)” as one of the options, and inside is a list of each class in the school, which, in turn, leads to a full list of needed supplies, organized by each subject in that class! Thanks for an excellent job on this to teachers and staff! Thanks, Louis! Please remember the 20% discount you can use at the office supply store BürooMaailm (https://www.byroomaailm.ee/en/) if you are a parent, pupil or staff member from TES (thanks, Jens!)
