We are excited to announce the start of a new two-year research project funded by the EKA Creative Research Grant!

Co-creating design(s) to support intimacy between remote families: A Collaborative approach to interaction, social, and sensorial design” (2025-2027) aims to bridge the emotional distance between families, inspired by the phenomenology of intimacy. By fostering collaboration among design students, researchers, and practitioners, we seek to explore and merge the areas of interaction design and social design, particularly focusing on sensorial design. Our methodology emphasises participatory design, community engagement, and hands-on workshops to create embodied experiences that support remote intimacy.
