Why is it essential to start actively looking for a job right away?

You better land a job by 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫; otherwise, you risk being on the bench until October.

Summer slows down hiring—businesses make plans after the holidays, and hiring gradually picks up in mid-September.

LinkedIn recommendations are like the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on the bottle of cognac. Here are 5 simple steps to help you request a recommendation:

1️⃣ Go to your Linkedin profile. Scroll down to the Recommendations section.

2️⃣ Push the ➕ on the top right corner of it. Select “Ask for a recommendation”

3️⃣ Find the person you’d like to ask for a recommendation.

You will need to be connected on LinkedIn.

4️⃣ Choose the Relationship and Position

Select the most accurate options from the dropdown lists and click Next.

5️⃣ Include a personalized message with your request. Click Send.

PRO tips:

Avoid the default LinkedIn message!

Start with a friendly greeting and thank them for your past collaboration.

Be specific about what to highlight

Guide the person on what you’d like them to focus on.
This makes it easier for them to write a meaningful recommendation.

Once the recommendation is received, send a thank-you message to express your appreciation. ❤️

Don’t forget the golden rule “Give to take”.
Kind words don’t cost much but can make someone’s day!

Does a prepayment for your services 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐧?
For me, it absolutely does the job.
The moment I receive a prepayment, my full focus shifts to the project.

The client gets my full attention, and I usually deliver candidates within 1-2 weeks.

Prepayment motivates me to 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭—𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫!

But what happens when a new client says:
“We don’t pay prepayments to recruitment agencies.”

I see red flags. 🚩🚩🚩

𝐖𝐡𝐲?

Because this often signals a low 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 to filling the vacancies.
It may suggest the client doesn’t truly believe in the outcome.

Here’s what typically happens in 80% of such cases:
🚫 No proper feedback on candidate profiles.
🚫 No ownership from the hiring manager.
🚫 No urgency to close the deal with the candidate.
