EKA Uusmeedia

Reedel (23.01.2026) toimub EKA peahoone 2. korruse vahealal kell 12.00–16.00 Uusmeedia helikunsti töötoa albumi esitlus. Kohapeal on võimalik kaasa osta või tellida seitsme autori loodud ja kujundatud kogumik, mis sisaldab heliloomingut ning trükist erikujundusega karbis. Projektis osalesid: Karoliine Hirmat, Hanna Kass, Mia Saar, Mia-Mai Roosberg, Paul Pank, Kersti Kagge, Alex Kristjan Lumi. Juhendas Sten Saarits.
Soovijatel palume kaasa võtta 10 € sularaha. Saadaval on väga piiratud kogus.

On Friday (23.01.2026), the presentation of an album produced during the EKA New Media sound art workshop will take place at the Estonian Academy of Arts main building 2nd floor mezzanine from 12:00-16:00. It will be possible to purchase or order the collection on-site which has been created and designed by seven authors and includes sound works and a printed publication packaged in a specially designed box. The authors are: Karoliine Hirmat, Hanna Kass, Mia Saar, Mia-Mai Roosberg, Paul Pank, Kersti Kagge, Alex Kristjan Lumi. Supervised by Sten Saarits.
Those interested are kindly asked to bring €10 in cash. Very limited quantity available.

For the first time, the Estonian Academy of Arts and Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture collaborate at Ars Electronica Festival 2025, presenting "Systems of Unrest" in the Campus exhibition area from September 3-7 in Linz, Austria. Five interdisciplinary installations by students and mentors from animation, contemporary art, new media, and interaction design explore how bodies maintain agency when technological systems oscillate between play and panic - directly responding to the festival's theme "Panic. Yes or No." Through sensor-driven sculptures, motion-captured avatars, VR experiences, and visceral video works, these emerging artists invite visitors to become both observers and participants, testing whether presence can transform panic into shared agency.

Copper Leg Sirakas is turning 5 this weekend! The two-day event for electronic and experimental music will feature works and performances by New Media staff and students, including Taavi Varm, Anett Maiste, Aubery Lis, and Sten Saarits / Vaskjala Sirakas saab sel nädalavahetusel 5-aastaseks! Kahepäevasel elektroonilise ja eksperimentaalse muusika üritusel on väljas ka EKA uusmeedia tiimi ja tudengite teosed ning esitlused, sh Taavi Varm, Anett Maiste, Aubery Lis ja Sten Saarits.
