Long before costumes and candy, the ancient Celts celebrated Samhain, a spooky night
Now we just eat too many sweets and have fun! 🍬👻🇮🇪
Barmbrack is an Irish Halloween tradition. It’s a special sweet bread filled with dried fruit, usually eaten with butter and a warm drink.
What makes it fun is that little charms are hidden inside the loaf before it’s baked! Each charm has a meaning — for example:
💍 A ring means you’ll get married someday
💰 A coin means good luck or money.
🪡 A thimble means you’ll stay single.
It’s a lovely, cozy Irish Halloween treat for children and families. 🎃🍞🇮🇪
