Britanica is committed to provide safe and enjoyable learning experience. We want our students to communicate confidently in English and German.

Did you know that Croissants aren't really from France and that Halloween is actually an old celtic tradition from Brittany? 🥐
This and way more interesting information was part of yet another intercultural exchange at Britanica. This week's topic France and the region Brittany. 🇲🇫
Volunteer Philo @unplumeau talked about her home country and especially her home region (Britanny) .
Again we all learned a lot of new things. With the main focus being the tradition and language of Britanny, a region that is so different from the rest of France and a lot of us did not know that much about.
We all are enjoying this small tradition that Britanica has built up and we hope we can share each others cultures more and more and learn about the differences and similarities. 😊

Another week and another country and culture to explore. 🌍
This week some of Britanica's students got to meet Jaime. @js_visualarts Jaime is a volunteer from Spain and took the chance to tell us more about his home country and especially his hometown Málaga. 🇪🇦
While some students already knew a little bit, everybody got the chance to learn even more about this beautiful city right in the south of the mediterranean country.
Apart from basic information Jaime also told them a lot about his personal interests and how they can be connected to the city.
We all enjoyed yet another intercultural exchange!

This week some of Btitanica's students got the wonderful opportunity to learn more about the country Georgia 🇬🇪.
Our volunteer's @lenschen_147 roommate Lika from Georgia @devdariani.lika talked with us about her interesting home country.
A lot of the students didn't know that much about the beautiful country in the caucasus, so they listened closely to all the interesting information Lika was giving them.
It was a wonderful experience for all of us. It will definitely not be the last time Britanica's students learned more about other countries and their culture😊. MTÜ EstYES
Welcome to Btitanica's Winter Wonderland❄️⛸❄️
This Monday and Tuesday the students of Britanica got the opportunity to improve their ice skating skills at their last meeting before going into their well deserved Christmas break. 🎄
They have been taught all the tricks and tips about ice skating by the professional coach Inga Mičule.
Britanica ended their ice skating lesson with some tea, 🍮🍪biscuits and a reflection on the unusual year 2020🥳Everybody agreed that although this year has been absolutely different it also had a lot of positive aspects!✨
Special thanks to our awesome coach Inga Mičule Jäälind Uisuklubi
we had a lot of fun!
We wish everyone a Happy New Year! 🎊🎉
🎄📺 “In the United Kingdom and around the world, people have risen magnificently to the challenges of the year, and I am so proud and moved by this quiet, indomitable spirit.”
In her 2020 broadcast, The Queen reflects on acts of kindness and heroism during this extraordinary year.

🎄Wishing all our friends and followers a very Merry Christmas! 🎅
We have a riddle for all of our young and mature readers: She is stunning. She is 18 years old. She speaks fluent English🇬🇧,but she comes from Germany 🇩🇪 She makes everyone laugh😂. A classroom without her is not the same. Who is it?
That's right, it is our new lovely volunteer Lena Müller-FalckeLena, who captured the hearts 💕of our students (and teachers too!) from her very first day at Britanica. Giving presentations, helping with mundane tasks and turning them into pure joy - this academic year is promising to be like no other! 🥳
Cambridge Assessment English Certificate Ceremony was held at the NATO base in Tapa as the Commander of the UK 🇬🇧mission NATO enhanced Forward Presence in Estonia Colonel Paul Clayton officially congratulated our diligent students on passing the Cambridge English Advanced ( C1) 👩🎓examination with flying colours.
We are grateful to our friends NATO Force Integration Unit in Estonia and NATO Battlegroup Estonia for hosting the award ceremony. 🥁
Unusual circumstances require brave decisions, though every student of the group continued their preparation for the Cambridge English Advanced examination under unexpected circumstances, digitally.
It would not have been possible without the support from Tallinn University Centre for International Examinations during an odd time when the whole world was taking a standstill.
Many thanks to British Embassy Tallinn for amazing event🇬🇧❣️🇪🇪
Happy Knowledge Day! 🌻
Pack your bags and put on a smile, Britanica is going on a road trip to visit some good friends down in Tapa! Yes, you read that right, 26 brilliant students were invited to spend a day at the NATO base NATO Battlegroup Estonia right where our military friends come from to visit us in Tallinn.🇬🇧💂♀️What an opportunity! This year we decided to give a head start to the academic year with a fun activity to shake up the lives of our students, make them move their bodies and work their brian as well, all in English🇬🇧! Thanks to the help of NATO Battlegroup Estonia and the British Embassy Tallinn, a Treasure Hunt was held in the city centre.
Out starting point was the iconic Falgi park, situated next to the Embassy itself! From there students and their coordinators were divided into three teams (🟢,🔴 and 🔵) by Major Paul, and set off on an exciting adventure of "hunting" for English practice with 9 native speakers were waiting for them in secret locations in the surrounding area.
Uphill, downhill, climbing and jumping off stairs - it was all in the name of great fun, but getting from one spot to the next was only a part of the challenge! Upon arrival, the teams were greeted by a soldier💂♀️ who gave them creative tasks to complete. What a way to practice live English 🇬🇧in real situations! After the team had successfully fulfilled the tasks, they were given the coordinates for the next location.
Three of our groups had to take a collective photo 📸 in each of the points they visited. The pictures were sent out for the jury to pick the team with the most out-of-the-box thinking. And that was the rule of the day: it is not the speed that gets you to the prize, it is the dedication that matters the most!

We refuse to allow limitations to stop us... from teaching, learning, developing and growing as well-rounded people during this uneasy time of #COVID. What truly unites all of us is the passion to share, create and get inspired, all while learning the English language!
We are grateful to our Military friends, NATO Battlegroup Estonia, for their active participation in the process of learning English and making our students acquainted with the English culture here at Britanica Language School. It is a blessing that our real-life meetings could be transferred to a digital setting.
What a wonderful world!
Look at our hardworking students! They are participating in the #BritishLiterature project organised by the British Embassy Tallinn

🤔 Millise briti klassikalise teosega on tegu?

23 aprill on Inglise Keele Päev. 1/5 inimesest üle maailma räägib inglise keelt, kusjuures enamiku jaoks nendest ei ole see emakeel! Happy Easter to all our friends! 🐣
Nothing can stop Britanica’s students🤓!We keep teaching, learning and holding a tradition of Thursday tea-time with very special guests. 🇬🇧Our gratitude to NATO Battlegroup Estonia for online support.
Friday evening, such a tempting time to kick your feet up a relax behind the computer... but not for the dedicated learners of English who all gathered for a few reasons - to meet new as well as returning guests from the British military💂♀️& to participate in a quiz aimed at testing everybody's knowledge about the UK 🇬🇧and the player's logical thinking skills!
With one soldier NATO Battlegroup Estonia to support each of the teams and our special guest, British Embassy Tallinn Alison Beckett, gracefully moving from table to table to offer her expertise in various areas ... we knew that this was going to be an unforgettable event.
As Major Paddy began reading out the questions in a loud voice, everyone quieted down and only seconds later all that could be heard was the scribbling of pens🖊 in attempts to record his words, and the energetic whispers of forty voices, discussing the correct answers as they only had one minute to do so. #natobattlegroupestonia #britishembassytallinn @ Britanica
Laughs, giggles and cheers are always heard a little before our lessons, what is happening? Isabel is around, turning the busy and serious atmosphere of language learning 🇬🇧🇩🇪into pure fun and joy.
And that is exactly her gift - blessing us her kindness by playing the accordion🎼, being our right hand during the lessons, and, undoubtedly, bringing a spark of creativity in anything & everything she does! #learnlanguages @ Britanica
As years continue to pass, Britanica still remains a place where our clever graduated students may come in to see their beloved teachers of English🇬🇧 as Nikolai did! He came for a friendly visit but left with more than just a smile on his face. He managed to make friends with younger students and even remembered the good old days as a pupil when he could pull out a prize from the mystery box!🎁
On Thursday we had an evening bursting with colour and emotion, dedicated the Remembrance Day. Britanica’s students got a precious chance to learn about British traditions🇬🇧, personal lives and experiences of our guests #natobattlegroupestonia firsthand in a cosy atmosphere with a cup of tea🍮! @ Britanica
Spiders, skeletons and vampires... those are just a few common things people are afraid of. However, Britanica students are afraid of garlic and lemons! Sour, bitter and spicy... But if it means testing one’s luck and getting a treat at the end, they are all in for it!
Guests, guests, guests… we all enjoy love listening to their stories and indulging in their company. But what if your guest is … the Major of the British Army in Estonia with two of his soldiers? 🇬🇧🇪🇪💂♀️Hmm… Now that calls for an interesting evening that is bound to attract tons of attention! 👏That was exactly the case: additional chairs and pillows were brought from all around, just to find a place for everyone to sit, phones were switched off and eyes patiently focused on the speakers ready to hear what they had to say about their mission as a part of NATO and their life in Estonia. Now, this is what we call a fun way to learn English! 👩🎓🇬🇧👨🎓#natobattlegroupestonia
During beautiful October evenings at Britanica, we prefer keeping warm by embracing sunny memories of the true happiness and anticipation our students experienced during their Certificate Award Ceremony back in September of this year!
The photos have such radiant energy that we can still feel the welcoming warmth and thoughtfulness Alison Beckett gifted us with by organizing an interactive game about the British culture, along with her kind words that motivated students al of all levels from Movers to Advanced #britishembassyestonia #cambridgeenglish @ British Embassy Tallinn
What do you get if you add a few scoops of German, a pinch of English and a huge amount of kindness - you get a treat! And her name is Isabel! #learnenglishtallinn #learngermantallinn @ Britanica
