🎨 Du 28 septembre au 4 octobre aura lieu la 11ème édition du Festival de Design de Tallinn, sur le thème “Le futur de la conception des produits” à Põhjala Factory.

🇫🇷 L’Institut Français d’Estonie soutient le festival, ainsi que la venue de deux designers français, Thibault Freychet et Jean-Louis Fréchin. Ils seront présents sur 3 évènements :

● Lundi 28.09 18h15 : Vernissage de l'exposition autour du France Design Impact Award. Gratuit.

● Mardi 29.09 de 19h à 21h : Concert "Hymne à l'amour" du trio de Jazz Rebecca Kontus, qui interpréteront des chansons d'Edith Piaf. Ce concert aura lieu dans le cadre du festival Sügisjazz. Payant, dès 14€ .

● Mercredi 30.09 de 17h à 19h : Soirée PechaKucha avec la participation de Thibaut Freychet. Payant, 12 €.

● Jeudi 01.10 de 10h à 16h : International Design Conference “Future of Product Design” avec la participation de Jean-Louis Fréchin à 11h30. Payant, dès 29€.

🎨 From September 28 to October 4, the 11th edition of the Tallinn Design Festival will take place at Põhjala Factory, with the theme “The Future of Product Design.”

🇫🇷 The French Institute in Estonia is supporting the festival, as well as the visit of two French designers, Thibault Freychet and Jean-Louis Fréchin. They will be participating in three events:

● Monday, September 28, 6:15 p.m.: Opening reception for the exhibition featuring the France Design Impact Award. Free admission.

● Tuesday, September 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m : “Hymne à l'amour” concert by the Rebecca Kontus Trio, who will perform songs by Edith Piaf. This concert is part of the Sügisjazz festival. Tickets' prices start at €14.

● Wednesday, September 30, 5:00–7:00 p.m.: PechaKucha evening featuring Thibault Freychet. Admission : €12.

● Thursday, October 1, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.: International Design Conference “Future of Product Design” featuring Jean-Louis Fréchin at 11:30 a.m. Tickets' prices start at €29.

🇫🇷🇪🇪 Open Discussion with Alexandre Escorcia, Ambassador of France to Estonia

Thursday, October 8 from 16:15 to 17:45, the Tartu University Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies will host an Open Discussion with Alexandre Escorcia, Ambassador of France to Estonia.

The event will take place in English, and is open to everyone interested.

The conversation will be open to a wide range of topics, including the priorities for France, its role in European integration, regional and trans-Atlantic security, and broader shifts in today’s international order.

🇪🇺 Le 26 septembre 2026, venez célébrer la Journée européenne des langues avec l’Institut Français d’Estonie ! L'événement aura lieu au café du musée Fotografiska, de 11 heures à 15 heures.

Au fil de la journée, voyagez à travers l’Europe grâce à des chorales qui interpréteront des chansons européennes, dans différentes langues. De nombreux Instituts et Ambassades seront aussi présents avec leurs stands.

🇫🇷 A 12h45, la chorale de filles Musamari interprétera la chanson "Je veux" de la chanteuse française Zaz ! Rendez-vous également sur le stand de l’Institut Français, où vous pourrez participer à des activités autour de la langue et de la culture françaises.

🇪🇺 On September 26, 2026, come celebrate the European Day of Languages with the French Institute in Estonia! The event will take place at the café of the Fotografiska Museum, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Throughout the day, take a journey across Europe with choirs performing European songs in different languages. Many institutes and embassies will also be present with their booths.

🇫🇷 At 12:45 p.m., the Musamari girls’ choir will perform "Je veux", a song by French singer Zaz ! Be sure to stop by the Institut Français booth, where you can take part in activities centered on French language and culture.

📸🇪🇪 Eile õhtul toimus Dokfoto Keskuse uue näituse „See puudutab meid kõiki“ avamine, mis keskendub prantsuse fotograafi Jean-Louis Courtinat’ loomingule. Avamisel osalesid õiguskantsler Ülle Madise, Prantsusmaa suursaadik Eestis T.E. hr Alexandre Escorcia, Prantsuse Instituudi direktor Sophie Coumel ning fotograaf ise.

Näitus annab edasi sügavalt inimliku sõnumi, jäädvustades inimeste haavatavust, vastupidavust ja väärikust. Courtinat’ loomingus põimuvad tähelepanelik pilk ühiskonnale ja sügav huvi inimeste elude vastu, asetades tema loomingu Prantsuse humanistliku fotograafia traditsiooni. Näitus jääb Dokfoto Keskuses avatuks kuni 3.01.2027.

Neljapäeval, 17. septembril kell 18.00 toimub Dokfoto Keskuses autoriõhtu Jean-Louis Courtinat’ga. Vestlus toimub prantsuse keeles, ingliskeelse tõlkega. Piletid on saadaval Dokfoto Keskuse veebilehel.

Näitust toetab Prantsuse Instituut Eestis. Näitus kuulub Prantsusmaa Kultuuriministeeriumi fotograafia 200. aastapäeva ametlikku programmi.

📸🇫🇷 Hier soir a eu lieu le vernissage de l’exposition du photographe français Jean-Louis Courtinat “It’s About All of Us” au centre Dokfoto. Ce vernissage s’est tenu en présence de la chancelière de Justice Ülle Madise, de S.E. M. Alexandre Escorcia, Ambassadeur de France en Estonie, de la directrice de l’Institut Français d'Estonie Sophie Coumel, de l’équipe de Dokfoto, et du photographe Jean-Louis Courtinat.

Cette exposition porte un message d’humanité en capturant la vulnérabilité de l’être humain, mais aussi sa résilience et sa dignité. Ce travail, profondément engagé, s’ancre dans la tradition de la photographie humaniste française. L’exposition se tiendra en Estonie jusqu’au 3.01.2027.

Jeudi 17/09 à 18h, Jean-Louis Courtinat parlera de son travail lors de son Artist Talk à Dokfoto. La discussion aura lieu en français, avec une traduction en anglais. Les billets sont disponibles sur le site de Dokfoto.

Cette exposition est labellisée par le Ministère français de la Culture pour le bicentenaire de la photographie et bénéficie du soutien de l'Institut français d'Estonie.
