Something special is waiting for Estonia’s new international students. 👀🇪🇪

Every year, Study in Estonia welcomes newly arrived international students with a welcome bag filled with useful information, gifts, and special offers from different Estonian companies and organisations.

This year’s bag is even more special: the tote bag and notebook were designed by our Student Ambassador , a Mexican animation master’s student at the Estonian Academy of Arts . 🎨

This is just the first look. Soon, we’ll take you inside the bag and introduce the organisations that helped fill it.

The welcome bags will soon be making their way to universities across Estonia.

On 20 August 1991, Estonia regained the freedom to shape its own future. Today, students from around the world come here to learn, create and contribute to what comes next.

For our Design for Digital Innovation Class, we worked with Bolt to design ways to improve couriers and customers’ handoff experience and enhance personalized suggestions to customers.

🪶There are over 400 types of birds in Estonia. You can discover them with hikes, walking around cities, or visiting the sea and seeing the Baltic swans. 🦢 Tallinn even has a famous seagull named Steven (.the.seagull). Even if you’re not in your 30s, the birds of Estonia are cool to discover.

The new Study in Estonia podcast episode is out now!

In episode 9, we meet Marina Erm, who first came to Estonia through Erasmus+ during her veterinary medicine studies. Today, she has completed her PhD and works as a lecturer at the Estonian University of Life Sciences.

In this clip, Marina shares why Estonia’s smaller study groups made such a strong impression on her: more hands-on practice, closer contact with teachers and a learning environment where asking questions feels natural.

From 250 students in one class to 30 - sometimes smaller really does mean stronger.
