🎯 A well thought out gamification model has the following pieces:

🦄 Players - your prospective users or customers. When designing gamification loops we talk about them as players.

🤖 Win State - your goal with the gamification loop. Your win state is where business objectives and player goals align.

💪 Actions - the series of steps necessary to reach the win state. Game mechanics are applied to actions to increase their effectiveness.

👾 Analytics and Feedback Systems - in order to know if your efforts are working you need both qualitative feedback from players and quantitative analytics.

✍️ Career awareness describes your career attitudes, your knowledge, and your life’s experiences. Career awareness is using all of these considerations when making active decisions about your career.

❓Career awareness begins with asking yourself a few important questions:

📈 “What are my strengths?”
🧩 “What specific knowledge do I own?”
🎲 “How can my life experiences feed into long-term career success and fulfillment?”

🧩Game-based learning is concerned with associating learning materials with “motivator chemicals” being released in the brain, through engaging activities.

🥳Endorphins - are neurotransmitters that are released in the brain when we get the feeling of satisfaction, success, or general achievement.

🌈Dopamine - is a feel-good hormone that’s released in the prefrontal cortex when we feel pleasure.

😁Serotonin - is a neurotransmitter that affects your mental health. It affects your mood, memory, sleep quality, appetite, and perhaps most importantly, our ability to learn, so it’s important to get lots of it.

✨Cortisol - is a stress hormone. Gaming helps reduce cognitive fatigue, frustration, and anxiety, all feelings related to cortisol.

🧠 How to manage uncertainty?

🪢 Every product manager faces uncertainty. Whether you’re launching a new product, scaling an existing product, onboarding into a new role, or tackling just about anything else as a product manager, you’ll need to manage uncertainty.

⛑️ Managing uncertainty can be broken down into a couple of components:

- Reducing uncertainty to an actionable level
- Crafting an action plan for when to revisit previous decisions

🦉 Identify the information that you’re missing to make that decision

🌈 Once you’ve listed out everything that you know, take a step back and reassess the problem. What other information do you absolutely need to have to make a “good enough” decision? Get a piece of paper or a Word document, and get all of your thoughts down.

✨ Prioritize which gaps are most important to resolve

🧩 Not all information is created equal. As a product manager, your job is to prioritize. We find that it’s most helpful to have a stack-ranked list. In other words, you can’t have multiple gaps all be the top priority - one of them is more impactful than the others. That way, you have clarity on which ones you need to tackle immediately, and which ones you can tackle later.

🏌🏻Data silos: Agile Data Governance enables data consumers to obtain and iterate on data assets in a direct and clear way. This minimizes the chance of emailed spreadsheets. Furthermore, information assets will be well-documented, allowing more users to access, understand, and use them.

🐬 Data brawls: People would lose faith in data work if it is not transparent. After months of work, people come up with new versions of the same analysis. Transparency in Agile Data Governance means that correction and peer review occur as the analysis progresses. This results in a common understanding that may be incorporated into company glossaries.

🤳 Data obscurity: In many organizations, those who try to understand the availability and usage of data assets encounter partial answers, inefficiencies, and perplexing processes. Agile Data Governance allows you to document your work while doing it. This near-real-time documentation raises awareness of what data exists, what it means, and how to use it all around the world.

3 Methods to build confidence as a designer

🏆 Get mentorship

The Junior designers nowadays are fortunate because they have way more platforms to connect to those senior designers. All of the mentors give a lot of confidence. Their kind languages can really help you a lot to continue your design career.

❤️ Give appreciation and feedback

The best way to receive is to give! If you want to get affirmation or appreciation from others, don’t hesitate to give your genuine appreciation. Everybody likes and needs affirmation from others. Be specific when you appreciate them.

🏌🏻Complete small project

Rome was not built in one day. Suppose you have a big dream or plan and are frustrated about the difficulty of realizing it. The big picture might sound stressful, but the small daily tasks accomplishment boosts your confidence for real.

👏 Making Good Decisions as a Product Manager

🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️While product managers may not build the actual product, they do produce something very tangible for a team: decisions.

👀The decisions PMs make are the ones that unblock their team so they can continue to build. They don’t need to make every decision, but they are responsible for ensuring a decision gets made — whether by them, their team, or their stakeholders.

👶Product managers are the hedge against indecision, and it’s uniquely their job because they tend to have the most context in a company. Typically, the most important decisions that a PM makes are, in order:

- Why a team exists (vision and the impact they aspire to create)
- What the general approach is to accomplish the vision (strategy)
- What to build now, and what not to build (project prioritization)
- What the smallest thing that can be built is that achieves the impact (MVP)

👍Intuitively, being right a lot matters. At the same time, and in contrast, there are often factors outside of our control that determine outcomes. I propose that being a good decision maker means doing two things:

- Making decisions using the right amount of information
- Making decisions as quickly as possible

🏆 The Essential Role of Automation in End-User Computing

🦫 Businesses want employees to spend less time tinkering with their devices instead of being productive. They also want their IT teams to invest less time fixing PCs and more time providing value.

🙌 While a customer-focused process is better than an SLA-focused process, security has become a major consideration in the new world of accessing data from the outside. The old world of connecting to data and systems from inside to outside has shifted 180 degrees to access data from outside in– especially after the pandemic has affected global business. And with employees doing their own thing, enterprise systems and networks are more vulnerable. However, security systems, processes, and protocols can’t be made so complex that they inconvenience employees and hinder productivity.

🏌🏻The goal is to bring data back to business—without which, we may have no business! The takeaway from the BMI experience can be boiled down to two essentials: One, leverage AI to make data more effective and improve productivity/efficiency by empowering users and making their lives easy and two, do not overdo security to the point where it has the potential to paralyze business.
