Vivita Global Vivita is a global collective of creativity hubs for children designed to inspire and equip them with skills in creative problem-solving and prototyping.

We are creating a movement to include children into the design of the future society. We are a global community of creativity accelerators and curious creators. Our mission is to empower children with the confidence to imagine and the skills to create the future. We believe creativity is the cornerstone for the future generation of innovators, founders and impact makers. They will lead the positive change. For this VIVITA develops experiences, services and products that help children obtain the skillset, toolset and mindset for innovation, creative thinking, and entrepreneurship. We work in 3 main verticals:

We provide innovation studios with free access for all children. Learning at our studios happens through self-directed experimentation and participation in real-life projects. Through challenge-based learning in our studios children get their first experiences in ideation, prototyping and pitching. Here we provide rocket fuel to accelerate their creativity.

Children are not included in design, innovation and decision making as much as they could and should be. Imagine the wealth of experience you would have, if you had started building your professional resume and portfolio already at the age of eight. VIVITA helps kids do this. We bring the child innovator to the center of building the future society. We work as an innovation consultancy together with the children, and help corporates, nonprofits and governmental organisations to find practical solutions for their challenges, and to come up with more mindful and inclusive causes, products and services.

Opening oneself up for study and analysis can be daunting, as it relinquishes control over perception. However, at Vivita, we embrace feedback and external perspectives to identify areas for improvement.

When Ülly Enn and Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance approached us two years ago to research Vivita Estonia / Vivistop Telliskivi from the perspective of educational commons - we eagerly collaborated. Vivita is a movement dedicated to integrating children into the shaping of future societies. Our goal is to equip children with the mindset, tools, and skills necessary for this endeavor. It is imperative that young people are heard, respected, and recognised for their potential to effect change.

Now, the research that Ülly, Charlie, Stamatia Savvani and Alekos Pantazis have done over the past two years, has culminated in the first academic article on educational commons. It is a joy to read about their findings and views on our democratic educational practices & and amplification and operationalisation of students’ agency and voices.

We hope this article proves as valuable to you as it does to us, and we anticipate the proliferation of democratic practices, amplifying young people's voices both within educational settings and throughout society. Agency encompasses not only the capacity to act but also the belief in one's ability to make a difference in the world.
