The international project "Jumper's Day" has ended

On May 25, one of the final events of the international project "Jumper's Day" took place: the online conference brought together project participants from Turkey, Estonia, and Spain. The children got to know each other in a virtual environment: the Spanish schoolchildren told a little about themselves in English, the children from the Kohtla-Järve kindergarten "Karuke" sang a major song, the other participants greeted each other with the flags of their countries. Then teachers from different countries summed up the work, expressed gratitude to the project coordinator Galina Safronova and discussed plans for future cooperation.

The aim of the project activities was to draw the participants' attention to the benefits of physical activity. During the project, which lasted from February to May, a lot was done: a logo competition was organized, a quiz and a survey of participants on physical activity were held, materials about the best school jumpers were collected, materials and presentations for health lessons were prepared. For children, classes on a healthy lifestyle were held, and Movement Days were organized.

All working materials, as well as collected photo and video reports were uploaded to the project page in e-Twinning. An e-book has been created - the final product about the actions of the "Day of the Jumper" project.

All participants noted that the project was successful. We would like to thank the active children of grades 3a and 3b (class teachers Inge Laada and Ingrid Aro) for their participation in the project, as well as students of grades 6a and 6b (class teachers Svetlana Pavlenko, Olga Makhova). We would like to express our gratitude to Irina Gritsinenko and Sergey Yuriev for their help in the project activities.

Final teachers and students meeting 25/05/2021

Today we had gathered together with the students. They are our main target for this project. We live and work for our children, we care about their education and health. We want to see them happy and fortunate!
And we really succeeded! During the online meeting, we were able to see students in classrooms, assembly halls and even at the sports stadium. They were glad and happy: they greeted each other with small speeches, songs, waved flags and hands as best they could. Physical education teacher Manuel Morea prepared the final project video and we could all watch and remember how it was! It turned out to be such a warm and friendly meeting! Thanks a lot to everyone!
After such meetings, you begin to understand that our project is worthy of attention and was not in vain!
Unfortunately, not everyone was able to take an active part in the meeting, but this is understandable: someone has an exam, someone has a lesson, someone is on a business trip. But the most important thing is that all the project participants were present at our event.
After such a sincere meeting with the students, the teachers continued the meeting on the final part of the project.
Our general project aimed to support the active lifestyle of students during this difficult time of the coronavirus.
As part of this project, we held a “Jumper's Day” and a series of activities to prepare and provide the necessary infrastructure for our young people aged 4 to 19, who are our target audience, to increase their interest in physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, popularize jumping sports, we give the necessary knowledge in the field of health preservation.
We discussed the design of our pages, the teachers received recommendations for correcting messages:
to design a quality label for a project, you should supplement the pages with your information, especially:
Questionnaire, Top School Athletes, and check under all posts on the pages to see if the teacher's name is present.
We added a Discipline page, where you should write what subjects at school according to the program passed in our project.
We will continue to share information about the design of the project in the WhatsApp group.
The final product of our project is an e-book, which was created in a joint international team.
Further actions on the project:
Dissemination of the project-social networks, blogs, school sites, media, school boards.
Thank you very much, that supported our initiatives and have been with us in the period of the project.
I hope that the project participants will continue to work in this direction in the future.
We have established international cooperation. I think we did it!

Today, May 20, 2021, the # # Jumper`s Day took place at the stadium of the Jõhvi Russian Basic School, Estonia. Due to the situation with the spread of SARSCov, the competition had to be postponed more than once.
The traditional venue for the competition had to be changed as well.
But the moment came when we were still able to hold our event in an incredibly difficult environment: the weather was pretty cool and it was pouring rain!
But our athletes and coaches were full of determination and sporting spirit! Well done!
