Last day of the last Selection Sprint this year!
5️⃣For the kood5 birthday our test run for a new batch of students popped up in… Tallinn!
🧑‍💻Today the students are presenting their group work to pack together all the tech knowledge they gained over the past 3 weeks - and then comes the decision if they’ll be accepted to the program - AI Ready Product Engineer.
😎All who made it this far definitely passed the vibe check - such awesome bunch plus the Tallinna Ettevõtlusinkubaator venue was great!
Later all accepted students have a chance to pick either kood/Järva, kood/Jõhvi or kood/Võru as their preferred home base.

Üks aasta kood/Võrut 💙🎂

Reedel saime Võru linna pangahoones kokku, et tähistada kood/Võru esimest sünnipäeva. Aitäh kõigile, kes tulid — ilma külalisteta poleks ka pidu.

Mängisime ka Kahooti //kood-i faktide peale. Need panid kõige rohkem kukalt kratsima - vaata, kas teadsid:

→ kood/Võru avati 13. septembril 2025.
→ Õppijate keskmine vanus 32 — enamik karjääripöörajad.
→ Meil ei ole õpetajaid. Õpitakse üksteiselt ja päris projektide kaudu.
→ Maja ehitati 1938. aastal pangaks. Kaks bareljeefi fassaadil on tänaseni alles.
→ Võru linn valis kood/Võru 2025. aasta teoks.

Ja kui piltidelt paistab, et pool saali on telefonis — nii oligi. See oli Kahoot. Ainus pidu, kus see on täiesti lubatud 📱

Today, thousands of Estonian kids are putting on their best white shirts for tarkusepäev or Knowledge Day in English.

🔤 They're learning the alphabet. 👩🏻‍💻 You could be learning to code.
📚Kids went back to school today. ⏰ Adults get until September 3rd.

And for the first time ever, we're bringing the Selection Sprint to Tallinn. It's a free 3-week test drive to see how we learn — 2 weeks on-site, 1 week remote — and it's your way into //kood - to be certified in our brand new AI-Ready Product Engineer programme.

⏳ Applications close September 3rd. Sprint starts September 7th in Tallinn Business Incubator.

⏳ Only 3 days left to apply for the Tallinn Selection Sprint — deadline is September 3.

//kood's AI-Ready Product Engineer programme takes you from zero to product engineer in 12–15 months: programming and back-end foundations, full-stack apps, production operations, and AI skills like LLM integration, RAG and vector databases — all while learning to think like an engineer, not just write code.

The Selection Sprint itself runs September 7–23, hybrid: two weeks on-site at the Tallinna Ettevõtlusinkubaator plus one week remote. It's how we find out together if this is the right fit, before anyone commits to anything.

No prior programming experience needed. No tuition until you're earning above the Estonian average salary — or pay 4500€ upfront if you'd rather skip the income-share agreement.

You just need to be 18+, an EU citizen or Estonian resident, have finished at least basic education, and be comfortable in English.

kood/Jam 🔐 Security Edition in Võru is a wrap!

NEVERHACK opened the morning with real attacks, real company stories and what a career in cybersecurity actually looks like. Then everyone got their hands dirty: Häkkerikoda ran two workshops — breaking and then fixing a web app through the OWASP Top 10, and a beginner-friendly CTF with web, OSINT, steganography, encoding challenges - and all the errors that come with it. Guild Security followed with a hands-on AI security session where learners attacked and defended live systems - or at least in theory. We closed with Karmen on making your work visible to employers — and then pizza and networking.
