Sailing Beyond Limits: A Family Business Leadership Journey Like No Other

At Courage Partners Group and the Courage Institute we believe transformative leadership begins when we step beyond the familiar and comfortable. This is especially true for those guiding multi-generational family enterprises.

In partnership with The Ocean Race, we designed a unique leadership experience for the owners and senior executives of Grupo Transoceánica, a standout family business shaping the future of logistics in Latin America.

Together, they sailed from to aboard the iconic VO70 Ericsson 1, under the leadership of Olympic Gold Medalist Támara Echegoyen

This was no ordinary voyage.

It was an immersive challenge in vulnerability, trust, and team collaboration under real pressure; a journey that pushed personal and collective boundaries and opened new perspectives on strategy, mindset, and unity. An adventure that shaped and strengthened an exceptional team.

As they carried Nature’s Baton to the Conference in Nice, the team also served as ambassadors of environmental responsibility, showing that true leadership includes stewardship of the planet.

To conclude the journey, we had the rare opportunity to visit the , one of the world’s most advanced ocean research vessels. It offered not only a glimpse into the future of deep-sea exploration but also a powerful metaphor for leadership that goes beneath the surface.
