On Friday, a friend and I visited one of my favourite museums! houses Ecuador's precolombian art from all over the country with each gallery setting the tone od the collection. I personally really love the blocky stone ancestors from the Valdivia culture (3500 bce - 1500bce).
I also particularly love the whistling bottles that have convoluted sculpting inside so that when they're filled with water, each can make the sounds of the animal which is represented by the bottle.
If you're ever in Quito is a must have spot to visit!
