Dia Feliz went to the coastal region with volunteer Andrea Geiser! Having had the opportunity to learn to implement games, crafts, puppets, etc to engage students in listening about Jesus, she went prepared with a tote-full of Dia Feliz materials to be used & distributed among those affected by the earthquake on the coast of Ecuador. It was a privilege to be part of the preparation.

Here's a shout out for a new school year! We're going in to the schools this week & next to find out when/where we can continue teaching. Praying for wisdom, continued open doors, & favor in the new contacts we make.

After a solid week of rain we were blessed to have a dry night & sunny & breezy morning so that we could use the field for today's Dia Feliz! Sharks n Minnows, Frisbee, & an egg carton mobile...what more could you want on a Saturday morning? Thanks for your wonderful help, Betty Tai!

YIKES! Neglect isn't a strong enough word for my treatment of this page---it seems more like an aversion, though that's not really the case. If it's been as out-of-sight-out-of-mind for you as it has been for me, let me assure you that we're still alive! :) I just had the opportunity to participate in an International Conference for Scripture Union Latin nations. It was a wonderful week of training, planning, new ideas, motivation for the present & hope for the future. If you haven't had that in awhile, I'd encourage you to search it out. I know that people often come away with a lot of 'hype' in their attitudes & promises they don't keep. A bit like some of us who meet up every time I'm home & then give each other the silent treatment until the next time :) Well-intention-ed, but without any positive results. Where you currently have an opportunity to make a difference please don't let your own personal mediocrity & excuses talk you out of it when the going gets rough.Let me know with a Like if you read this & are interested in hearing more from EIO.

We hosted our Saturday program at two schools today. I am so thankful for all the people who helped us prepare the games & devotional. And thank you to Betty for her flexibility. And to God for the weather that held---rain came 1/2 hour after I unloaded all the extra supplies & games from the trunk. Here are a few photos of some activities.
