We all deserve a roof above our head.

Yet, affordable housing is a major concern for citizens across Europe, especially in cities and popular tourist destinations.

Europe needs more homes, and, while we build for the future, we must also ensure the availability and affordability of the housing we have today.

With our Affordable Housing Act, we're providing national, regional and local authorities with the tools and legal certainty they need to assess housing availability and affordability where the pressure is greatest, and to determine the appropriate next steps.

Because housing is a right, not a privilege.
