La magia del Chocó Andino

ES: En 2018, el Chocó Andino Ecuatoriano se convirtió en Reserva de la Biosfera, por su belleza y biodiversidad. Fue un esfuerzo conjunto de las comunidades y autoridades lo que permitió cumplir este objetivo de conservación.

Recordemos que un lugar tan especial como este, no puede ni debe ser explotado. El turismo responsable y sostenible permite preservar el paisaje y las especies que allí habitan.

EN: In 2018, the Ecuadorian Andean Chocó became a Biosphere Reserve, due to its beauty and biodiversity. It was a joint effort of the communities and authorities that allowed to meet this conservation objective.

Let us remember that a place as special as this, cannot and should not be exploited. Responsible and sustainable tourism allows preserving the landscape and the species that live there.

ES: Fabulosa captura del encuentro con un pequeño amiguito de camino a la cascada "Mariposa azul" 🦋
Son pocos los capaces de identificar entre árboles y hojas, el movimiento casi imperceptible de los tan importantes anfibios y por ello el trabajo de los guías turísticos es increíble!

EN: A magical place, not only for the landscape it offers, but for the history it transmits, where the extinct Yumbo culture more than 800 years ago used to rest, feed and recharge with the force of nature.
Due to the magic of the place, without a doubt this was a sacred site for them and they decided to mark it, they left their archaeological mark with petroglyphs of sets of circles in spirals, which they wisely symbolize; the human mind as perfect and tied to a spiral that evokes infinity ...

Beautiful? It is a paradise!

ES: Un lugar mágico, no solo por el paisaje que ofrece, sino por la historia que transmite donde, donde la extinta cultura Yumbo hace mas de 800 años utilizaba para descansar, alimentarse y recargar energías con la fuerza de la naturaleza.
Por la magia del lugar, sin duda este era un sitio sagrado para ellos y decidieron marcarlo dejaron su huella arqueológica con petroglifos de conjuntos de círculos en espirales, que sabiamente simbolizan; la mente humana como perfecta y atada a un espiral que evoca al infinito...

ES: Colibrí Sietecolores (Boissonneaua jardini)

Endémico del Chocó y una de las especies más comunes en Mashpi - Amagusa. Desde el ángulo correcto se pueden observar varios tonos brillantes de verde, azul y blanco, sobre todo en sus alas, por lo que es un verdadero placer observarlo 📸

EN: Emerald Tanager or Shimmering Tanager.
(Chlorochrysa phoenicotis).
It's intense green color make this endemic bird from the Choco, as precious as the stone it took it's name from.
You can get to see on Amagusa Reserve, Pacto.

El intenso color verde de esta ave endémica del Chocó, es tan precioso como la piedra de donde toma el nombre.
