Let us know what you've been up to! Founded in 1992, the Centers for Interamerican Studies (CEDEI) is a not-for-profit institution dedicated to the study of American languages and cultures in Cuenca, Ecuador. To foster understanding among the people of the Americas, CEDEI sponsors a variety of academic activities independently and in conjunction with universities in North and South America. CEDEI has three programs: study abroad programs for international students, the English language school, and an international bilingual primary school.

Our study-abroad CSU Stanislaus students enjoyed the colorful celebration of Corpus Christi, a week full of fireworks, music, local traditions, and the famous dulces de Corpus.

A wonderful opportunity to experience Ecuadorian culture through one of its most vibrant festivals.

From cacao bean to chocolate bar! 🍫🌱

Our California State University, Stanislaus students experienced one of Ecuador's most iconic traditions by visiting a local cacao farm. 🌿 They learned about the cultivation process, discovered why Ecuadorian cacao is recognized worldwide, and even made their own chocolate! 🍫✨

A delicious way to connect culture, agriculture, and sustainability. 🤎
