Last day!! We packed up and traveled - looking like 28 hours from hotel to home. Boarding soon in Taipei for the long haul home. See you soon!

We spent our last full day in Osaka after a quick trip on the bullet train. We got to visit some popular districts and toured Osaka Castle. We wrapped up the best trip ever with a fun karaoke night! 🎤

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR FAVORITE SCHOOL NURSE!! So glad we got to celebrate with Mrs. Arnold.

It’s Sunday, right?! We spent most of the day on Miyajima Island. Everyone visited the Itsukushima shrine ⛩️ and got to explore the island - more shrines, hiking, beaches, an aquarium, traditional lunches and Japanese cooking classes were some of the choices. After coming back on the ferry ⛴️ we had our sushi dinner. 🍣🍱 Early night tonight because breakfast is at 6:30!

Saturday was all Hiroshima! We had a pretty somber history morning touring the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb dome. In the afternoon we had free time for eating and shopping - lots of us visited a Japanese garden. Dinner was awesome!! Okonomiyaki dinner cooked in front of us - a traditional Hiroshima dish.

You might have heard about some natural disasters, but they haven’t stopped us. The earthquake wasn’t very close to us - we just felt a little shake at breakfast. And the typhoon headed back out to sea. It did drop 2.5 inches on Tokyo, but not until after we left. All good!!

Today was a tour and travel day. After checking out of the hotel in Tokyo, we took a bus to Yokohama where we toured the Hikawa Maru 🛳️, had lunch in Chinatown, rode the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel 🎡 and had some free time for shopping. After picking up bento boxes for dinner, we rode the bullet train to Hiroshima and checked into our new hotel. We’ll be here for the next three nights.

Everyone enjoyed a free day around Tokyo today, including several of us at Disney! It rained all day, but that didn’t stop our fun. I’ll add more pics to this post as I find them!

Our first full day of touring took us all over Tokyo - 7.5 miles of walking! Temples and shrines, museums and shopping, and lots of food!

I’ll add more pics from the orange bus when I get some.
