The newest SmartPLS 4 release introduces a game-changing addition: CB-SEM (like in IBM® SPSS® Amos). https://www.smartpls.com/downloads Thereby, you can now estimate structural equation models using the covariance-based structural equation modeling approach (CB-SEM). You can also use this new feature to run a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).
To get started easily and compare SmartPLS results with other software, there is a CB-SEM sample project that can be installed directly in the SmartPLS software. It contains the following models, which can be estimated immediately and provide results:
- Byrne textbook model for personal accomplishment
- Hair textbook model on job satisfaction and staying intentions
- Diamantopoupls-Siguaw textbook model on job satisfaction and customer focus
- Kline textbook model for job satisfaction
- a model with a formative measurement model from the MISQ article by Diamantopoulos
In addition outputting relevant results for model assessment and reporting, SmartPLS also includes bootstrapping for CB-SEM.
Finally, the CB-SEM world now has a software with a user-friendly graphical interface, which PLS-SEM users have been appreciating and loving for years. For a seamless transition, you can also import your old Amos projects into SmartPLS 4.
Download SmartPLS 4 now, and experience the power of the SmartPLS 4 user interface and discover a new world of doing your CB-SEM analyses.
