The Brave Turtle and the Tsunami
One sunny day, a little turtle named Tiko was swimming near the beach. Tiko loved to play in the shallow water and watch the colorful fish. Suddenly, Tiko noticed the water pulling back far from the shore. "That's strange," thought Tiko.

Then, Tiko remembered what her grandmother once said: "When the sea pulls back, a big wave called a tsunami might come." Tiko quickly swam to the shore and saw many animals still playing on the beach.

Tiko shouted, "Run to the hill! A big wave is coming!" Some animals listened and ran to safety, but others didn’t believe Tiko.

A few minutes later, a giant wave came rushing towards the shore. The animals who listened to Tiko were safe on the hill, but the others had to climb trees or hide.

After the wave passed, everyone thanked Tiko for her bravery and for warning them. From that day on, Tiko became the hero of the beach.

في يوم مشمس، كانت هناك سلحفاة صغيرة تُدعى تيكو تسبح بالقرب من الشاطئ. كانت تيكو تحب اللعب في المياه الضحلة ومشاهدة الأسماك الملونة. فجأة، لاحظت تيكو أن المياه تسحب بعيدًا عن الشاطئ. فكرت تيكو: "هذا غريب".
