Call for participants: The deadline for applications is June 23rd !

Are you a female journalist in the MENA region? Are you interested to qualify in data journalism? DW-Akademie is offering a comprehensive online course that will teach you not only all you need to know to work in data journalism but also offers intensive coaching on your data project.

The course language is Arabic. In the case of English-speaking tutors, translation will be provided. The course will start on July 14th.

Length of course: 14 weeks
Mandatory online sessions: Every Wednesday, 16:00 German time, 6 additional coding sessions
Home assignments: weekly, following the online sessions
Coaching: individual coaching by our experts, once a week
Participants are expected to invest a minimum of 10 hours every week.

You do not need existing coding skills or experience with data for this course. You should have proven journalistic experience and you should not be afraid of data and working with it. At the end of the course, prize money will be awarded for the best data story.
