"وَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ ۖ وَعَسَى أَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ"
للأسف، دار اللغات ستغلق أبوابها رسميًا.
نأمل أن تتفهموا موقفنا والظروف التي أوصلتنا إلى هذا القرار.
بدأت دار اللغات قبل أربع سنوات، مباشرة بعد تخرج أربعة طلاب أصدقاء من قسم اللغة الإنجليزية: ختو سيرين، محمودي ياسين، عبد اللاوي عبد المجيد، وعباسي أسامة. بحماس وطاقة وحلم، بنينا شيئًا جميلاً وفريداً وجديدًا لمدينة بشار: أول مدرسة تقدم حصريًا دروسًا ودورات في اللغة الإنجليزية، تُدار بالكامل من طرف الشباب.
منذ البداية كنا مختلفين. حتى الاسم عبّر عن ذلك، كنا "دارًا"، لا مدرسة ولا أكاديمية ولا معهد. كل شيء فينا كان يحمل روحًا مختلفة: تصميم الأقسام، دفء الأجواء، أسلوب التدريس، الطريقة التي كنا نرتبط بها مع طلابنا، أبنائكم وبناتكم، إخوتكم وأخواتكم، وكأنهم جزء من عائلتنا. دار اللغات لم تكن يومًا مجرد مكان لتعليم الإنجليزية؛ بل كانت انتماءً، وتجربة إنسانية مرضية لجميع من شارك فيها.
ما ميّز دار اللغات أيضًا أننا لم نوظف أبدًا مساعدين أو عمّال نظافة. كنا نحن كل شيء: المعلمون، المنظفون، المحاسبون، المؤسسون، وكل الأدوار الأخرى. فريقنا لم يُبنَ عبر السير الذاتية أو إعلانات الوظائف، بل بُني على الثقة، بتجنيد أشخاص عملنا معهم عن قرب في الركن الأمريكي ببشار. وهذا ما منح فريقنا علاقة أعمق من المهنية: علاقة شخصية، عائلية.
قبل أن نصبح مدرسة، قضينا خمس سنوات في الركن الأمريكي، نقدّم أنشطة مجانية ونبني مجتمعًا من المتعلمين والحالمين. ومع الوقت، تحوّل المشروع إلى عائلة. تعرفنا على مئات الطلاب والأولياء الذين أصبحوا جزءًا من حياتنا. التقينا بكم في الشوارع، في المطاعم، في المطارات، وكان لقاؤكم يسعدنا في كل مرة، ويُذكرنا بقوة الروابط التي صنعناها، خاصة مع الأطفال وعائلاتهم الذين نتذكرهم فردًا فردًا وسنظل كذلك دائمًا.
قدّمنا أفضل ما لدينا دومًا. لكن للأسف، أصبح مجال تعليم الإنجليزية اليوم موجّهًا أكثر نحو التجارة لا التربية. كثيرون حوّلوه إلى تجارة صِرفة، يبالغون في جودة دوراتهم، أو يضللون حول شهاداتهم، أو يدّعون شراكات غير موجودة. نحن اخترنا طريقًا آخر. استقبلنا على مر السنين زيارات رسمية من السفارة الأمريكية، رحبنا بضيوف أمريكيين، وأصبحنا بكل فخر الشريك الوحيد للمجلس الثقافي البريطاني في المنطقة. ومع ذلك، نادرًا ما تحدثنا عن هذه الأمور، لأننا أردنا أن يُذكر اسمنا بما أنجزناه، لا بما قلناه.
كما نود أن نعبّر عن امتناننا العميق لأساتذتنا، الذين لم يكونوا مجرد زملاء، بل مؤمنين بمشروعنا. دربالي نسرين، فضيلة، حمليلي كوثر، فزيوي وصال، مسلم أمنية، بغدادي ياسين، معاشو ريان، نمر مهدي، بوخلخال بشرى، خالطي مروى ، بن مامو صفاء، فقير اسراء، شريف أباشي، و دكي منال. لقد آمنوا بنا حينما كانت دار اللغات مجرد فكرة، ونحن بدورنا آمنا بهم وهم يحملون رؤيتنا بشغف وإخلاص. من دون عملهم الجاد وإبداعهم وحبهم للتدريس، لما أصبحت دار اللغات ما هي عليه.
اليوم، تأخذنا الحياة في طرق مختلفة، ولكل واحد منا أهداف جديدة لم تعد تتوافق مع البقاء في بشار. ربما في يوم من الأيام سنبني شيئًا جديدًا من الصفر، بنفس الروح ونفس الشغف. لكن الآن، هذا الفصل ينتهي.
نحن فخورون جدًا بكل ما حققناه عبر دار اللغات. فخورون بأننا جلبنا دائمًا الجديد والمميز، مشاريع وأفكارًا، ونعدكم أينما أخذتنا الحياة، أننا سنواصل على نفس النهج.
نعتذر بصدق إن أخطأنا يومًا، ونسامح أي خطأ صدر تجاهنا. ستجدوننا دائمًا في الركن الأمريكي ببشار، حيث سنواصل من وقت لآخر تقديم دورات وأنشطة مجانية.

Unfortunately, the Polyglot House is officially closing its doors. We hope that you understand where we’re coming from.
Polyglot House started four years ago, right after the graduation of four motivated English students and friends: Khettou Serine, Mahmoudi Yassine, Abdellaoui Abdelmadjid, and Abbassi Oussama. With passion, energy, and a dream, we built something beautiful, unique, and new for Bechar, the first school to offer exclusively English classes and courses, run entirely by youth.
From the very beginning, we were different. Even the name said it all, we were a House, not a school, not an academy, not an institute. Everything about us carried a different spirit: the design of our classrooms, the warmth of our environment, the way we taught, the way we connected with our students, your sons and daughters, brothers and sisters as if they were our own and even the way we ran our social media.
Polyglot House was never just about English; it was about belonging , it was about a satisfactory human experience for all people involved. What also made Polyglot House special was that we never hired anyone as an assistant or as a cleaner. We were everything, the assistants, the cleaners, the teachers, the accountants,the founders, and everything in between. And our team was never built through CVs or job ads. It was built through trust, by recruiting people we had worked with closely at the American Corner Bechar. This gave our team a bond that was much more than professional, it was personal, it was family.
Before becoming a school, we spent five years at the American Corner, offering free activities and building a community of learners and dreamers. Over time, what started as a project became a family. We met hundreds of students and parents who became part of our lives. We met you in the streets, in restaurants, in airports, and each time, it filled us with joy to see how strong the bonds we created were, especially with children and their families of whom we all remember one by one and we will always do . We gave our very best, always. But sadly, the world of teaching English has become driven by business rather than education. Many have turned it into pure business, lying about the quality of their courses, about the certificates they offer, or about partnerships they claim. We chose a different path. Over the years, we hosted official visits from the U.S. Embassy, welcomed American guests, and proudly became the only partner of the British Council in the region. Yet, we rarely spoke of these things, because we wanted to be remembered for our work, not our words.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our teachers. They were not just colleagues, they were believers. Nasrine Derbali Fadila, Hamlili Kawther, Fezzioui Wissal, Meslem Oumnia, Baghdadi Yassine, Maachou Rayane, Nmar Mehdi, Boukhalkhal Bouchra, khalti Marwa, Benmamou Safa, Fekir Israa, Cherif Abachi and Dakki Manal. They believed in us when Polyglot House was only an idea, and we believed in them as they carried our vision forward with passion and commitment. Without their hard work, creativity, and love for teaching, Polyglot House would not have been what it became. Now, life is taking us in different directions, and each one of us has new goals that no longer align with staying in Bechar. Perhaps one day, we will build something again from scratch, with the same spirit and the same passion. But for now, this chapter is closing. We are very proud of everything we achieved through Polyglot House. We are proud of always bringing new things, new projects, and we promise that, wherever life takes us, we will continue to do that.
We sincerely apologize if we ever made mistakes, and we forgive any mistakes made toward us. You will always find us at the American Corner Bechar, where we will continue, from time to time, to offer free courses and activities.
