The British Council is the UK's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. We were founded in 1934 and we operate in 110 countries and territories worldwide. The British Council Algeria was originally established in Algiers in 1962 and closed in 1994 due to security situation then reopened in Algiers in 2006 with operations commencing in 2007.
