Recognizing the colors and identifying the color names is an important part of a child’s development. After teaching the colors vocab Depending on the age / level of my students , I wanted to teach just few words per class for the small and middle section , building up to the full 7 color words over a series of lessons. For older students.
● " Color the circles " activity is when the teacher prepare large sheets of white paper ( before class ) and draw a large circle which fills up the sheet . Then stick the sheets on the walls of the classroom, take out colored pencils and walk around the classroom , coloring in a bit of each circle with the same colors used , and the teacher makes sure her students say the color as they do each coloring . Kids love this one ♡
● Coloring balloons activity using " Q tip " for middle section and small one is a fun one as well as teacher make a review about vocab already taught.
● Coloring the rainbow for big section is a fun activity as well , since students learn the colors of a rainbow and learn a new vocab as well .
