Meet PAC’s MVP. Eusebia Valenzuela. Eusebia has been a host momma for six years now. She has opened her home & heart to many different visitors and does so with affection, kindness, and love. Eusebia has raised not only her six children but grandchildren and other kids that weren’t her own and is a godmother to almost all of the kids in Los Memisos. She is a natural caretaker and treats each PAC participant as if they were her own son or daughter. Her coffee is delicious, her laugh is contagious, and her nurture is immeasurable. Thank you for everything you do and everything you are. We appreciate you!!

Our PAC team is excited to spend Natalie's last few days in the Dominican Republic with her!

After assisting the unveiling of the new community sign, Natalie, Marie and José are heading back to Santo Domingo for her exit interview and a few days of relaxation before she returns to the United States.

It has been a beautiful and rewarding experience getting to know her more and share the wonderful community of Los Memisos with Nat! We are so excited for what she does next 🌱🌞

We have loved the journey with Natalie as she became part of the community and family of Los Memisos!

ANOTHER PROJECT SPOTLIGHT 🌟 with Natalie in Los Memisos. She is hard at work with community members and youth painting the tanques in these photos, which will be used to collect and manage trash in Los Memisos.

✨ Natalie has been collaborating with the community and local municipality to formalize this project and implement weekly trash pick-ups from Los Memisos. ✨

Great 🌟 community project 🌟 spearheaded by Natalie this summer

Natalie has brought community members and youth together to collaborate on a community map to be painted and placed at the front of the community 🌱

She is working to receive feedback from elders and young people to see what signifies and symbolizes the beautiful community of Los Memisos! 🎨👥

Hello english class! 😃 What a great photo of Natalie Jackson leading her weekly english classes in Los Memisos ✨

Natalie has a great game she plays with the local youth called "Donde Vas" to teach english phrases related to location and dictating where you are. She makes it fun and engaging by having the youth move all through the community, illustrating what they learn and using their phrases.

We are super proud to see her engaging with the community in meaningful ways and creating dual-learning opportunities for her and the local youth

Check out Natalie with her ✨community map ✨ of Los Memisos. Depicted in her map are houses with her favorite dogs and best cups of coffee plus the waterhole, cell service, security check point, baseball field, community center, church and more.

Community map creation is an important activity for our participants. We want them to understand where they have resources as well as community members to walk with them through their programs.

Natalie and the PAC team took an adventure to Los Conoquitios, the home town of José Luis Pineda, co-founder of PAC. They had fun with community members and friends cooking plantains and chicken soup at the river and playing games with the local youth.

As part of Natalie’s excursion out of Los Memisos with the PAC team, they visited one of the beautiful beaches of Barahona, San Rafael Beach. Here they visited Larimar workshops, ate delicious fried fish and tostones, swam in the natural river and ocean, and enjoyed playing games at the local hotel.
