A huge thanks to DaQuan Brown from Morehouse, along with his volunteers from Spelman, who created a story for each week of camp. Story Station has never been better than this summer! Another huge thanks to Morehouse College for getting the stories printed in the most durable way possible, and paying for them to be brought here by a volunteer. These stories were creatively written for our students. Each one is truly amazing. What a beautiful gift!

Our fifth and final week was amazing! In addition to our summer long volunteers Hope, Joseph, Maraya, Ilayas, Yenilove and Alexandra, we had Kathy and Donnie join us. Kathy planned a math curriculum, complete with activities for all four stations, working with Length on Monday, Area and Volume on Tuesday, Time on Wednesday, and Weight on Thursday. 35 out of 85 campers completed the program with at least 70% and had their reward beach day on Friday.

Thank you so much to everyone who made camp possible this summer. It was an awrsome five weeks!

Week 4 of camp was another great one! We learned about family, making little houses, worry dolls to represent our family, and what every family needs - an egg carton mermaids! We’ve now started our fifth and final week for the summer where we’re learning about animals, but have a different math theme every day to top it off!

Week 3 of camp was a blast! We, of course, missed our volunteers from week one and two, but had fun with new volunteers. We were very sad that Sonya and company were not able to make it for the first time in many years due to a car accident. You are in our prayers!

This week, campers learned about emotions, body parts, and different activities.
