Interact Club of St. Martin Secondary School

On Saturday 10th May 2025 our Interactors headed to the Mahaut Beach (near Zaaman Park) to conduct a beach cleanup.

Beach clean-ups are service-driven initiatives that aim to promote environmental awareness and preserve the beauty of coastal areas.

We are advocating for clean beaches and we urge persons to stop indiscriminate littering. Let us keep Dominica clean together.

We baked up some delicious goodies for our bake sale on sports day 2025. The goodies were a hit with the school population!

Our club welcomed District 7030 Rotaract Representative (DRR) Rolinzo Huur in March. He had insightful conversations with the students about all things Rotary, and implored them to remain engaged Interactors.

DRR Rolinzo was accompanied by President Iyanka and PRO Bianca of the Rotaract Club of Roseau.

Congratulations to our new Interactors who were pinned in January! We already love your zeal for community service and fellowship!

We are pleased to have sponsored our school's first flag pole and to contribute to the development of patriotism among the student body.

🇩🇲 A proud moment for our school! Last week, we proudly raised the Dominica flag on our school's first flag pole. 🇩🇲 The flag is a symbol of unity, pride, and heritage. The flag being raised at school will promote patriotism and civic responsibility in our students. This was made possible through funding from the Interact Club of St. Martin Secondary School. Interactors were also given a briefing on flag protocol and history, and they were taught how to hoist the flag to full and half staff when necessary. They then learned how to fold the flag for safekeeping. We wish to thank the Interact Club for their dedication and sponsorship in making this project a reality. The Interact Club is led by student President Kishanta Darwton and is coordinated by Mrs S. Jacob, Miss M. Hurtault and Miss J. Ferreira. We also extend thanks to our groundsman Mr Lockhart for putting in the work to erect the pole. Thank you also to the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force's Sargeant of Police Raymond J. who facilitated the flag protocol and training. A joyful bunch! Volunteering at the President's Charities Children's Christmas Party in December was a joy for these Interactors

Our Interactors shared a lighter moment with DG Debbie and the family of Rotary at a social event!

Our country's first ever peace pole was erected at the Botanical Gardens by the Rotary Club of Dominica in November and we were there for it! The peace pole bears the words "May Peace Prevail On Earth" in various languages spoken on the island.

As Interactors we also pledge to do our part in allowing peace to prevail on Earth.
