What happens when scientists and comic artists join forces?
The Black Hole Comic Book Project project brings together researchers from the Niels Bohr Institute and Graphic Storytelling students. Led by bestselling author Cecil Castellucci, they’ve turned complex ideas about black holes and gravitational waves into comics, making science accessible to everyone. It’s been a true learning proces for all!

The posters are on display on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen until Monday, so make sure to stop by if you are in the area.

𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐚𝐦 – 𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐦

As the sun ushers in, a tree’s animal residents get into their morning jam.

“We wanted to create a project that is visually pleasing and memorable. Our aim was to showcase the fun and whimsy of everyday routines with focus on unique visuals and cheeky characters led by a melodic theme. Rather than having a concrete narrative, we wanted to give the audience an entertaining experience, so that they would want to keep returning to our short film again and again,” the group says about Morning Jam.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗜𝘁𝗰𝗵 - 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺

A bear has trouble sleeping because it has a wildly itchy back. The cause of the itch is revealed when the bear meets a flea, but not just any flea... It's a party flea!

“Our intention with The Urge To Itch was to balance the silly and nonsensical relationship between Miles the Bear and Flynn the Flea with the moral lessons of learning to respect each other’s boundaries, in this case being about party etiquette. We aim to keep it fun and engaging for kids but also with an easy to digest lesson to be found in it,” the group behind the film explains.

Two chicken’s imagination take us on a journey through the jurassic period.

“Our intention with Roachestra was to depict the relationship between kids and their ability to create imaginative stories and childlike wonder about our world. We aimed to spark a curiosity in young children between 4 and 6 years old about the Jurassic period, with vibrant colors and humorous characters, style, and sounds,” the group says about the project.
