BioScience Solutions

BioScience Solutions WHO I WORK WITH: I work in-house with AgBioScience and BioSolutions organizations to provide strategic and communications resources – as and when needed.

I provide independent strategic R&D, project management & communications solutions to AgBioScience and BioSolutions businesses developing science-based products. WHAT I DO: I provide independent scientific development and regulatory support, as well as communications and strategic R&D and project management solutions to AgBioScience and BioSolutions organizations developing science-based products.

HOW I DO IT: We start with an evaluation of your current situation to understand the issues and opportunities being faced and to identify the core product or strategy to develop. From this we build a strategy and implementation plan. WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT: 20+ years of experience in research management and communications in the corporate and academic AgBioScience and AgBiotech Business and R&D community. I LISTEN and take the time to understand the critical issues. WHY IT WORKS: By providing independent resources, I enable strategic- and communications projects to be planned and executed, allowing your permanent staff to focus on core operations.

Active ingredient uptake and translocation introduction - Formulation Types
The biological activity of a crop protection product is determined by its active ingredient, which may be formulated to improve handling, storage, application and bioavailability.

Bioavailability refers to the extent a substance or active ingredient becomes available to its intended biological target site, and is determined by active ingredient concentration at site of application, anatomic & physiological characteristics of the absorptive site and active ingredient solubility.

This course provides an insight into plant physiology and anatomy as barriers to active ingredient uptake and translocation, as well as active ingredient physical-chemical properties determining their uptake and translocation.
