We have been out and about!

In the first week of March, we participated in the Lighthouse Festival in Järna hosted by the beautiful YIP (International Youth Initiative Program). It was a deeply inspiring week, where we were reminded that we are part of a whole community and growing movement of change-makers, peace builders, initiators from around the world. A community that support each other in lighting up the world with each their unique little light, with what we have and can, to make a more loving, connected and meaningful world.

The Lighthouse festival inspired us with learnings on inner transition, craft making, storytelling and narratives, the power of belonging - and how it all relates to a sustainable future.

It was so exciting to get a taste of Youth Initiative Program, where young aspiring social entrepreneurs and change makers from around the world live and learn for 10 months every year.

Little insights from interviews with participants and founders of the program will be shared here soon.

We have been invited to speak at the online Pioneers of Change summit, which runs from the 10th to 22nd March. We warmly invite you to register - for free (!) - to be inspired by lots of inspiring changemakers from around the world.

We are a part of a wider project!

We have become a part of YinT (Youth In Transition), an Erasmus funded project that explores and gathers methods and experience on how to engage “hard to reach” youth in the sustainable transition through art and creativity.
SO inspiring!

We feel part of a bigger movement that wishes to inspire and empower young people in all the various dimensions of sustainability.

We are 6 organisations from Scotland, Austria, Italy and Denmark. Each organisation brings their rich knowledge of how to facilitate learning around sustainability in creative ways.
We will be working and experimenting with these methods in both Denmark and Sicily. It is an amazing possibility to experiment with our own exercises as well as gaining lots of new knowledge on new methods from the partner organisations.

In Denmark, we are working with FGU-students (young people that for different reasons can not be in highschool or higher education) in a ‘Community of Practice’ with NOAH.

We are representing the Danish Ecovillage Network (Landsforeningen for Økosamfund -okosamfund.dk), and we are collaborating with fantastic and inspiring organisations that you can check out below.

We are excited to update you on the experiences we gain on the journey!

Spring is coming! Can you feel it?
The light have brought us new possibilities, that we are so excited to tell you about. This winter holiday we are on work retreat - and now we finally have time to dive deep into the exciting new projects, that we are engaging in. Stay tuned!

An inner transition is needed in order to create the outer transition needed for these times!

The newer Danish term, Væredygtighed, has been born to name this inner dimension of sustainability; it literally refers to the skill of being, while sustainability refers to the ability to uphold something.

Center for Væredygtighed (Aarhus) has developed 9 goals of Væredygtighed as a supplement to UN’s sustainability goals: these includes the development of empathy, self-reflection, awareness of interconnection between nature and humanity, the practice of bodily presence, etc. We are really excited to dive deeper into these goals and the exciting materials from Væredygtighed in our workshops.

Welcome to the first inspiration-post.
This is a danish filosofical radioprogram about sustainable "education", or “bildung” in a German term. They talk about the nessesary need of a new education/building view, in these times of change.

How do we journey back to wholeness in a culture dominated by individualism and seperation from nature?
Could schools play a significant role on this journey towards a more whole and sustainable world?

Our hearts are bubbling with questions:

What if schools were places, where we could deepen our connection with intuition and our sense of belonging in the web of life? What if schools were learning centres, where we could explore how to love, how to be an emotional being, how to create healthy, loving relations with each other, the planet and ourselves?

In the Untaming Education project we explore what is alive in this field and being practiced in explorative school projects already. We collect voices from students, teachers and pioneers and we gather practical methods that can be applied directly in schools. We search for the core of what is driving people to create school and learning for a truly regenerative world - and our dream is to create network and community along the path.
