Day 6 of 6 - Part 2 - There it is! The bespoke draped and tailored jacket base, made from scratch. Alberto is trying on his own jacket design, made out of thousands of small hand stitches, but still ending up light, sleek and smooth. Next up is repeating the whole process in the online continuation of the course, and then adding sleeves, top collar and finishing details. (Alberto is currently living in London. The academy is based in Copenhagen. We always believed in sharing knowledge across borders. What do you believe in?)

Day 6 of 6 - Part 1 - Last day. Finishing up the torso of the jacket to experience how the draped bespoke and fitted own pattern actually works as a tailored garment, and, at the same time, learning how many important tailoring techniques are used. Here, Alberto has turned the front edges of his jacket (and added a collar base). Sleeves will be added later on, after all this is repeated one more time through the online continuation of the class.

Day 3 of 6 - Making the canvases, the inside of a hand-crafted jacket. The two layers of sturdy material are shaped and controlled by hundreds of pad-stitches into the desired shape. The raw edges are then covered with bias cut cotton strips. This is one of Alberto's canvases.

Day 2 of 6 - Time to cut the jacket (with inlays) and then transferring all your markings from pattern to fabric. Here, Alberto is opening his threadmarking stitches between the "left" and "right" layer.
