☝First customer feedback on is in — and the early results are encouraging.

One of our early HALO customers has now completed the first phase of technical evaluation in a resin development environment.

The headline result:

Back exposure time was reduced by approximately 26%.

In their evaluation, measured irradiance increased from approximately 12 mW/cm² with their conventional mercury lamp system to 19 mW/cm² with HALO.

To achieve the target relief depth, this translated into an effective back exposure time reduction from approximately 52.5 seconds to 38.9 seconds.

Beyond exposure time, the customer also observed an interesting plate-performance balance:

👉 Improved highlight dot reproduction versus conventional mercury lamp exposure
👉 Deeper reverse lines compared with the LED system used as a benchmark
👉 Plate characteristics positioned between conventional mercury exposure and higher-intensity LED exposure

And implementation?

Straightforward. Minimal effort. No significant additional operator training required.

The customer also highlighted another practical benefit of :

no lamp warm-up time, with the potential to improve equipment availability and operational efficiency.

There is still more to learn. Relief exposure optimization is ongoing, printing trials have not yet been completed, and longer-term production data will be needed to quantify uptime, maintenance and energy benefits.

That is exactly why early customer evaluations matter.

They move the conversation from specifications to measured performance — and help us understand where HALO can create the most value in real plate-making workflows.
