DSAAS is looking forward to the 10th of November!

We are all super excited for this year's American Studies Festival, which is hosted by our very own Center for American Studies.

On this day, attendees have the opportunity to learn from well-respected scholars such as Masayoshi Yamada, Dr. Hsuan L. Hsu, and our very own faculty and students.

Students will also be able to hear from alumni regarding their paths to employment, where their skills and knowledge from American Studies have served them well.

Today marks a week since we hosted our very successful Thanksgiving event! 🦃

We want to thank everyone who brought their good spirits and wonderful patience (What’s a party without a few technical difficulties?). It truly was an honor to host Thanksgiving for all of you and we appreciate all the kind words!

DSAAS Board Application 2024 Want to be on the board of our student association? Send us your application before September 25th (2024) at midnight. You will get your response before the end of week 39 (same week as the deadline).

Today, we had journalist and US expert Steffen Kretz visit us, and tell us more about the political storm the US has experienced in the past years and continue to experience. We are honored to have hosted this event and thankful to those who showed up - and for Steffen who took two hours out of his day to be with us.

On Thursday, February 15, this unique event will focus on the upcoming 60th U.S. Presidential Election.
It will be a live recording of the podcast "Friis' Diplomatpost," where journalist Flemming Rose, Associate Professor Niels Bjerre Poulsen, and former Danish Ambassador to the United States Friis Arne Petersen will discuss how the U.S. presidential election will impact the rest of the world.
This event is an extraordinary opportunity to gain insight into the U.S. presidential election, and the event is free for everyone to attend!

Time and place: Thursday, February 15, 3-5 pm, Room U20, SDU.
