▶Advanced Component Theory Training on the GE 1.5 MW and Vestas platform◀
Our expert trainer Diane Clipper just led another round of Advanced Component Theory training (ACT) at the Notrees Wind Farm in Texas, taking technicians deep into the systems that keep the GE 1.7 MW platform turning.

What makes a week like this work is not just the curriculum; it is the people in the room. A big thank you to Deriva Energy for trusting us with your team and for the strong partnership behind this training. And to the participants: thank you for the energy, the sharp questions and the willingness to dig into the detail. You showed up ready to learn, and it showed.

Our experienced trainer António J F Henriques just led another round of Advanced Component Theory training (ACT), taking technicians deep into the systems that keep the turbines turning.

This time the training took place in France, with a team from Deutsche Windtechnik. What makes a week like this work is not just the curriculum; it is the people in the room. A big thank you to Deutsche WindTechnik for trusting us with your team and for the strong partnership behind this training. Out in the field for two weeks: our expert trainer José Carvalho is on site at Granite Reliable Power in Coos County, New Hampshire, delivering Advanced Platform Theory (APT) training on the Vestas V90 3.0MW Mk9.
Joining him from NextEra Energy Resources is a cross-functional group consisting of site technicians from the wind farm, technical support colleagues based in Florida, and the manager of the training center in Ohio, bringing field, support, and training perspectives together in the same room.

José brings more than 20 years of hands-on turbine experience to the room, built across international Vestas deployments before joining dwpa. That field-first background is exactly what Advanced Platform Theory is about; going beyond the basics to give technicians a deeper, systems-level understanding of how the platform works, so they can diagnose and troubleshoot with a clearer picture of the whole machine when they are back up-tower.

A sincere thank you to NextEra Energy Resources for the trust and the partnership, and to every participant who brought their focus, their questions, and their experience to the sessions. Training like this is only ever as strong as the people in the room and this group set the bar high.

We are delighted to welcome Mark D Jones to Danish Wind Power Academy as Executive Key Account Manager, United Kingdom.
Mark joins us with more than 30 years in the global energy sector, bringing a wealth of commercial and business development leadership across offshore wind, CCUS, hydrogen, and oil & gas.

In his new role, Mark will lead key account relationships across the UK, a market central to the future of offshore wind. His deep understanding of both established energy markets and the energy transition is a natural fit for our mission: delivering world-class turbine training that keeps the industry's workforce ready for what comes next. As demand for skilled technicians continues to grow, his experience in market development and client partnership will help us reach more people, in more places, with the training that matters. This week, our trainer Diane Clipper is at the Mesquite Creek Wind Farm in Texas, delivering Advanced Component Theory (ACT) for the team at Deriva Energy, focused on the GE 1.7 MW platform.

At dwpa, we hold to a simple standard: technicians should learn troubleshooting from someone who has already done the job, under pressure, and can show them how to think through a fault rather than just follow a flowchart. Diane is exactly that. She does not troubleshoot from theory, she does it from 12 years up-tower at GE, from time spent diagnosing faults in the conditions our participants actually work in, where the wrong call has real consequences and the right one keeps a turbine turning. That is the standard at dwpa, and Diane is how we deliver it.

Real experience. Real platforms. Real results out in the field.

Last week, our expert trainer Lars Nygaard Thomsen was on site at Papalote Creek I delivering Troubleshooting training on the Vestas V82-1.65 MW Mk5 to the RWE US team.
Combining classroom sessions with hands-on work in the turbine, participants moved from theory straight into real fault-finding scenarios, sharpening the diagnostic skills that keep turbines turning and production high. This blend of instruction and up-tower practice is exactly the kind of learning that makes a difference the moment technicians are back out in the field.

A big thank you to the technicians who brought their energy, curiosity, and great questions to every session, and to RWE US for partnering with us and investing in their people. A special thanks to Lars for sharing his expertise both in the classroom and in the turbine.

In the coming days, our expert Trainer Jeremy Ashton delivers our Advanced Component Theory (ACT) training on the Vestas V110 platform at Los Vientos Wind Farm in Texas, USA for our valued customer Deriva Energy.
Throughout the training, Jeremy is working closely with the team to strengthen their technical understanding of the V110, combining structured theory with hands-on, real-world insight that technicians can put to use the moment they are back in the turbine.
