LOGSTOR Detect can identify exactly where in the pipe a leak or damage has occurred, making it possible to carry out repairs quickly and without problems. It is essential to make sure that leaks and damage to pipes can be identified and repaired quickly to protect the environment and project profits.

LOGSTOR’s leak detection system – was initially used on district heating pipes but can now also be applied to industrial solutions. Leak detection can be incorporated in all our pipe systems.

Copper sensor wires are embedded in the insulation and register if the insulation becomes wet on account of a leak in the carrier pipe or damage to a joint or the outer casing.

LOGSTOR design complete pipe systems including leak detection, and states what equipment is required to ensure a straightforward and reliable surveillance system.

Leak damage or breakage of the pipeline must be recorded immediately in order to prevent any further or extensive damage.

Precise location of the breakage means repair costs are significantly reduced and the overall lifetime of the pipe system is significantly extended.

LOGSTOR has the technology to replace existing broken or inadequate alarm threads or cast a new set of threads for pipe systems that have been delivered without – we call it thread renovation.

LOGSTOR Detect offers intelligent surveillance 24 hours a day. Copper threads are cast in the insulation foam and run throughout the pipeline.

These threads report back to LOGSTOR Detect units that monitor moisture of wire break intrusion.

Seven golden rules for a correct, fast and successful joint installation:

1. Make sure that all materials and tools are present before installation
2. To refresh your memory, go to our YouTube channel and find the relevant installation video
3. Make sure that the distance in the trench is compliant with the general rules
4. Alcohol cleaning, grinding and activation with gas burner are essential for a good result
5. Remember to do a pressure test on the joint. Additionally, ensure that the foam bag and joints have the correct foaming temperature
6. Perform a visual inspection on both the joints and weld plugs
7. It’s a good idea to have an umbrella or tent available against changing weather

You must learn to crawl before you can walk!

This philosophy can be applied to our business because the simple fact is that before you can become a successful sales rep or Customer Service Coordinator, you need to learn the basics. The correct understanding of the product and its technical aspects is therefore crucial.

With Henrik Thomsen in charge, LOGSTOR Academy had the pleasure of training a new group of curious LOGSTOR colleagues, who have now learned how to walk and are well equipped to conquer the European district heating market.
