A huge congratulations to Andreas Lyk-jensen on passing his Commercial Pilot Licence!

For any pilot, earning the CPL is a very special moment — it’s one of those milestones where all the training, studying and flying start to come together.

It means moving on to the final stages of the training: UPRT and APS MCC.

Meet the Crew: Emma ✈️

Emma is both a Flight Instructor and an Educational Advisor at GreyBird, supporting future Swedish students. She’s been part of the crew for almost two years.

Her favourite airstrip? LIPV — a grass airstrip on an island outside Venice, Italy.
And yeah… we see why, def look it up! 🇮🇹

Besides her passion for aviation, she likes to spend her time on the tennis court, loves shopping — and apparently has a knack for keeping the coffee machines running. The latter being a pretty useful skill around any academy ☕️🙂‍↕️

We’re so glad to have Emma in our crew — inspiring the next generation of pilots and showing that there’s more than one career path in aviation 🧡

From Student Pilot to First Officer ✈️

Every pilot journey starts somewhere.

Today, he’s a First Officer, but between those two moments are years of learning, hard work, milestones and experience.

From Theory to the Very First Solo
For every pilot, the journey begins long before the first time you fly alone.

It starts with ground school, studying, exams and countless hours spent learning everything from the theory behind flying to the decisions you’ll eventually make in the cockpit.

And then comes one of the first big milestones:

Your First Solo.

The moment where everything you’ve been learning starts coming together — and you’re up there on your own.

From Student to Instructor

The journey at GreyBird continued beyond becoming a pilot.

After completing his training, he returned as a Flight Instructor, helping other Student Pilots take their first steps in the cockpit.

From learning the ropes himself to being trusted with the responsibility of teaching others.

Getting you up, where you belong.

From Instructor to First Officer

After his time as a Flight Instructor at GreyBird, the next chapter took him into the airline cockpit.

Today, he’s flying the A320 family as a First Officer.

Big smiles at our Aarhus base this week! 😁

This week .min6.2 earned his very first stripe after flying solo, hitting a huge milestone! ✈️

He is now well on his way to turning aviation dreams into reality, and we’re truly proud to be a part of his journey! 🧡

A massive congratulations – let’s all celebrate Amin with a big ’Grattis’ as they say in Sweden, where you’ll find his home base! 🇸🇪
