Congratulations to our MSc in IT Product Design graduates! 🎓🎉

We celebrated the graduates of 2024 last Friday with a campus reception and a cozy gathering in the studio with family and friends. We were happy to see so many happy smiles and your enthusiasm to do the final tinkering exercise before leaving the university✨

The self-directed project, also known as the January project, is the fifth mini-project within the Co-Design Frontiers course. It serves as a valuable opportunity for IT Product Design students to further enrich their knowledge in a field of their choosing and collaborate with their peers across the cohorts.

This year, second-year students, who took the Collaborative Management course in the autumn semester, have assumed the role of project managers for these three-week January projects.

Below are a few snapshots capturing moments from the presentations held last Friday, showcasing the diverse explorations by our students:

We are delighted to celebrate the success of two IT Product Design teams in the SDU Case Competition, themed "Beyond Sustainability," as they advanced to the finals! 🙌

Competing against 80+ participants and 15 cross-disciplinary groups from Denmark and Germany, both teams not only secured a place in the finals, but the SolNova team also took the 3rd prize 🏆

Both teams addressed the challenge posed by Better Energy, exploring biomimicry principles for redesigning solar parks.

🌱 The SolNova team focused on biomimicry, creating an innovative concept that integrates solar parks with nature and community involvement. This innovative solution also contributes to peatland restoration, reducing CO2 emissions.

💧 Sync2Day explored nature regeneration, envisioning a future where solar farms mimic algae, producing hydrogen gas as a by-product—a potential solution to oxygen depletion in Danish waters.

Congratulations to our talented students for their impressive work in just 48 hours! 🎉
